  1. Past hour
  2. With the 1 Over 8.00 rule being scrapped do we now assume that Plymouth or Workington aren't running because the Team Building rules were set for 3 Years on the basis that 9 Teams would compete in the Championship?
  3. Are you Jason Pipe in disguise ?😄
  4. Also means one massive wage bill as it’s well known Klindt doesn’t come cheap. Think King is a more likely option, wage wise and points limit .
  5. Yes Tom Brennan has realised that sitting in Poland as a No 8 does not work if your not riding a bike, same as Dan T
  6. Simon Lambert looking for a team place 😜 Redcar have told him they don't want him Unfortunately with the rumours on here I fear this is the type of rider the Comets may sign, hope not, just have to wait and see, but would like to see batch back, maybe Jake Allen as well go for a solid side. After all the past season the team scored 40 points in all bar 2 away meetings, and several last year deciders, which is a good effort IMO
  7. It's been a fantastic few days in Argentina. Amazing people, never experienced this before. First trip to South America, and I will be back
  8. There’s any number of riders who can look awesome in the NDL but that’s their limit. Loftus has a 9+ average in NDL but only 3.76 in the CL. I saw Shanes when he rode at Glasgow the night Greg Hancock was there. Greg told him to get his “ass” off the saddle. Next time out, he did. And won. Time after that, he reverted to type and came last. Hausl signed as a 5 “only had to exceed his average” to be a good signing. How did that work out? Shanes will fill a gap, but, after so long in the sport - and I know he has missed long spells due to injury - he’s not going to substantially improve. Fine for a team whose main aim is survival but no use for any club with a desire for success. IMO
  9. I don't think any Premiership heatleaders (top 3) should be able to ride in the Championship. The gap needs widening.
  10. Batchelor heading to Plymouth, he’ll be a solid scorer at home. Nicholls will be back along with Barker also so at least plenty experience in the team
  11. The 'Hobby' league that has more teams and more senior professional riders in it than the 'mini' loss-making league.🙈🙉🙊
  12. Today
  13. I hope they have some heat leaders lined up as most rumours are linking Danny King back to Redcar and obviously not sure if Scott Nicholls is riding next season
  14. Only stipulation is highest averaged ride has to ride at number 1, you can place your other riders anywhere in the 2-5 riding order, but usually have second highest at 5 and third highest at 3
  15. Why would they move and have the extra expense, the moved down for it was not making enough money. They are the best supported Club in the Championship. Most Clubs in UK are losing money over the season and just surviving.
  16. Same old same old, been their done that
  17. So Oxford signing Brennan alongside Masters means the one 8 point rider rule has been scrapped (do Poole have more than one rider over 8?) which means the Bears could sign Nicolai Klindt (who was at the awards night on saturday) as a twin spearhead alongside Charles Wright, would mean some jiggery pockery with the rest of the team as Scott and Southwick already signed up for 2027.
  18. Great to see Kyle back racing and having Tom back in the championship. Does that therefore mean that teams will be able to list their riders in any order (for the top 5). As an example Oxford will have three riders with an average above the Berwick number 1.
  19. Am trusting no news is good news !
  20. It’s going to be Kyle Howarth. Proper racer, gives it his all, been a good Championship number 1 and 5 over the last 5-6 years great to have 3 riders capable of being number 1
  21. All Poole fans want is to win the league, second tier champions. Same again 2027 season so just give them the title now. Thought Poole might of moved up and challenged themselves, must boring to watch especially home meetings, I'd rather watch a team that lost now and again.
  22. Sad to see him retire great racer a very fair rider could beat anyone on his day but of a late age injury have caught up with him ,pity he couldn't do a season over here to swell his pension fund.
  23. I get the impression it will be Nicholls or Howarth, maybe Howarth not wanting to commute so much anymore for home meetings and Nicholls with Plymouth being uncertain.
