Feel sorry for Mitch, he clearly loves to have a blast around the outside but has the two of the worst home tracks he could have in each league to do that. Next season he should ride for Belle Vue and Scunthorpe, he will double his average.

Wild Cards for 2027
mogmacrash replied to LagutaRacingFan's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
There would be a serious argument for two of those but it just isn't going to happen. Whilst i'm totally against Putin's aggression, I do think some Russian sportspeople should be given permission to compete despite the political situation. It must be hard for some people to get there heads around Emil riding in the UK (last year) and Poland but not being allowed in the GP's. -
GP venues and news for 2027
mogmacrash replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Is that capacity as it stands now or with temporary seating added? -
The more I think about this meeting the more I think it could be a close one overall. Plymouth are a force to be reckoned with on there home track and if they can take some points off Kilderman and Morris things could get very interesting. A lot will depend on the contributions of Palavara, Etheridge and Battye, they will need to chip in with a few points to see the Bandits over the line. Really looking forward to it.

I cant imagine Wright not being at Redcar. He is part of the furniture.

Emil Sayfutdinov Artem Laguta Grigory Laguta Vadim Tarasenko -
Was gonna say the same itโs one poster just giving examples ๐ Nothing stoping Poole or anyone else moving up and signing any of those.
-
I'm not sure promoters take notice of anyone on here ๐

Lets not forget how well he has done in the Prem though, averaging a shade under 5 in his first senior season with much of it in the top five is impressive. Not sure anyone could have expected any more.

Wild Cards for 2027

Who do you think should get the wild cards? I don't think you've ever mentioned your view on this. -
Exactly why no one will move up as you try to screw them before it even happens.

Glad you enjoyed your night out, but if you think it was purely down to luck who wins then you didn't fully understand what you were watching. ๐ To the uninitiated, cars may have been taken out of the race randomly, and sometimes they are, but there are also ongoing feuds and team battles that mean a fancied runner getting taken out by a mate of another fancied runner. I am not saying there isn't an element of luck involved, but the winners of the major events usually come from the same small pool of drivers. Bunch of amateurs yes, in terms of the fact it is a hobby and you can't make a living from it, but the standard of driving and car prep is far from amateur. Some of them are almost semi-pro when you look at the equipment they are using both on and off track. Race engines are costing upwards of ยฃ5k and some of the drivers are racing every weekend up and down the country, with multiple cars being built in fully fitted workshops.

So much talk about Cairns & Rushen, but I am thoroughly enjoying watching Harrison plod along quite nicely at only 19. Would take him back at Northampton along with Kye Thomson. They should both be the first names on the team sheet for 27. I also have noticed how much Harris enjoys the track at Northampton, and with him living up the road in Rugby, I can absolutely see him as a Fox next year.

Jody has had 2/3 seasons in Champ before full season in the Prem? Whereas Cooper did both at same time. Throwing yourself in the deep end comes to mind!

Haha. Aint no one going to watch him ride. As for chances zero point, won't last 2 months let alone a season. 914 obvs.

Wild Cards for 2027
LagutaRacingFan replied to LagutaRacingFan's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Past performance should not justify a wild card. Freddie is over 40 and past it. -
Would that be because other countries sort their acts out, get riders signed and fixtures organised sometimes months before Britian can sort out even which teams are actually running ! Wright has been very loyal to Redcar turning down more lucrative moves as he rides where he enjoys it and hasnt chased the ยฃ signs in the past so cant begrudge him chasing the big bucks in Poland in the time he has left .
