  1. Past hour
  2. Lisa.._.Zachs front wheel was on the grass,as soon as his back wheel hit the white line the ref should of flagged it up before announcing the result,2 wheels need to be over
  3. Towards the end of my career my mechanic worked for motad making silencers for the motorcycle industry, through getting done over by Norton they were on the brink of going out of business and decided to try make a speedway silencer to save the business, after we tossed about a few ideas about design they wanted a king silencer they could take apart to see what they were doing inside, I got hold of a silencer off a top elite league rider at the time and they cut it apart to find the baffles had been cut out, I don’t know how it was done but they weren’t there and there were no weld repairs on the chrome plating, we got another one to check it and that had baffles in,motad made an exact replica of a king and as much as we tried we couldn’t get the noise under the limit, motad opted for a different design and although they performed well especially on long track they couldn’t break the monopoly of king in speedway and they went out of business 6 months later,
  4. Where's the sense of fairness in this? https://www.scbgb.co.uk/news.php?extend.260
  5. Today
  6. Well class rose to the top, Tiges didn't have a (none Kings Lynn rider) who could compete with Aces top two. But Belle Vue riders threw so many points away not committing to the wide line, it was ridiculous, to go fast you can't just touch the wide line you have to go deep into it or not at all. The choice of guest for Belle Vue was bizarre, why not go with RR? Blodorn left Holder & Flint in his wake in his second ride then changed his bike for his third ride, why? The Ipswich throttle monkey judges can shut up. Kurtz, Fricke & Doyle rode the quickest line all night and won by mile when they hit the front. But Zischke & Cook won the meeting for Belle Vue but they kept switching lines when they didn't hit the front.
  7. People from Eastbourne have history with exhaust cheating, as back in the mid 70's eagles were at worky, all the team travelling on a bus, was a heated meeting eagles were winning and it kicked off about an exhaust, it had been taken off the bike and thrown over the pit wall, the mechanic burnt his hand, think they got away with it, think Mike Sampson was the rider
  8. From the Ekstraliga site . Great Britain – dates of league matches on Mondays and Thursdays, Sweden – on Tuesdays, Denmark – on Wednesdays, and Poland (PGEE / M2E) – on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Speedway attendances always strugged at Arlington when not on a Sat evening. From the Ekstraliga website it statea GB dates Mon + Thurs. Not sure that would guarantee the best of attendances at Eastbourne. The crowd generally was not a local one, many travelled a fair distance.
  9. I can’t remember now how it was, I think we were told before the meeting 2 numbers from each team were picked and you got tested before meeting or they would pick the winners of certain races and you got tested after the meeting, I certainly had both over the years
  10. What a cop out from the SCB. Confirm illegal tyre warming and confirm rear wheel out of bounds in Superheat, but result stands because the ref wrongly declared the result. Well done Scunthorpe Scorpions, the true winners of the league.
  11. Yes there regular drug tests and now at grasstrack but not so much fuel testing, it does still go on but you tend to find if suspicions are raised like fuel or filters or whatever then testing seems to ramp up for the month after, they could sort the fuel problem by using the polish system where the bikes are filled just before the race from the same drum, on the subject of cheating I purchased a famous silencer a couple of weeks back, it was Eddie Kennett’s famous drilled one from about 15 years ago, have to say not the best “modification” I’ve ever seen
  12. None of that Team could perform like this seasons Scunny Top Man though.🤔
  13. Fail to see that the weather played apart the track was fine.Jye ,Max and Anders done their job,the rest weren’t good enough.
  14. If Mayfield can't offer a better deal for Lambo than Buster Chapman then it's a major red flag for me. Lambert has to ride in Britain to get his British license to ride in Poland, He could opt to ride on a German license but that would mean that he can't ride for Team GB wouldn't it????
  15. Hopefully, we get, at least, seven teams with around ten GP riders involved... Tonight showed, unfortunately, the difference between the top level lads, and the young kids who really shouldn't be exposed to to that level, yet... As the crowd tonight showed, there is enough followers of the sport... You just need to make the sport something that people can get engaged enough with for several months..
  16. Fill in the blanks. 1. R. Lambert 2. T. Brennan 3. D. King 4. ? 5. K. Woryna 6. M. Kowolik 7. ?
  17. Got to get Greg Blair with a fans video then go running to the ref, he then changes his decision especially at Berwick V worky 😜
  18. Been happening for a few years when riders have allegedly broken down or disappeared from the stadium 😲. But do drug / fuel testers exist any more in speedway?
  19. to be honest, its not motivating me to want to go anymore, not got the rush i used to have, looking forward to different teams, riders, etc. will have too see what happens through the winter, but i dont expect much change.
  20. Fair play to Kurtz and Doyle, they were a cut above everybody else tonight. Fricke got the better of them at first, but nobody could touch them after that. I was hoping that we would win at home, but not sure that the overall end result was ever going to be in doubt. Congratulations to BV
  21. Should be easier these days as well with the increased numbers of replays available.
  22. You easily nip that in the bud by the testers not turning up till an hour or less before the meeting is due to start. Any failures to turn up etc get tested at the next meeting they're due to ride/ spannerman in.
  23. They’re the best team in the league and finished well ahead of my beloved Lions in the regular season. We all love the play offs, but the team finishing top of the pile when everyone has played everyone really ought to be champions. That goes for any sport.
  24. It's time to be honest and admit that the 2026 Tigers were no longer a force to be reckoned with and looked tired and jaded and were often put to shame by the guests (Drew Kemp excluded...) Exits from all 3 competitions to the Monarchs, the Bears and the Scorpions was a lacklustre effort and a complete overhaul is needed regardless of any loyalty to popular riders. This is a team that I'd love to see line up in 2027; Dan already appears to be back in the Red & White, there's talk of Cairns not being in the Pirates team plans for next season, Anders could probably be tempted and all the stops should be pulled out to sign Jody Scott. Victor is a no-brainer and it would be interesting to see a rider like Alex Adamson given a chance in the Championship like Reid Battye got last season at Berwick. Freddy is the only rider I would bring back from 2026 as there's still the possibility that he doesn't suffer 3 engine failures per meeting and actually kicks on a bit. And for anyone saying "But there's only one heat leader!" take a gander over at Scunthorpe and how they came within one superheat placing to winning the Championship in '26 with only one heat leader. 1 Dan Thompson 7.55 2 Victor Palovaara 5.64 3 Anders Rowe 6.39 4. Jody Scott 6.04 5 William Cairns 6.44 6 Alex Adamson 4.00 7 Freddy Hodder 3.31 49.37
  25. Cook was in many ways why you won tonight a solid 9 backing up the big two!
  26. I’m not sure if the rules have changed but back when I raced they couldn’t do a test on a specific rider even if that rider has been reported or they suspect them, the tests have to be completely random, I would like to know now if some officials at the track are told a few hours in advance that a test is taking place for number 3or 6 or whatever as I do find it strange lately how some riders are arriving late or suddenly don’t appear at all
