  2. Not seen a single GP for 2 years. Is this Kubera the 'Real Deal'? Willing to put his & others lives at risk just to win? Are we talking peak Nicki Pedersen mentality? Do you think he's willing to take his own countryman & national hero Zmarzlik for a safety barrier inspection? If it's a yes to all those, I may sign up & have a new hero. Speedway globally desperately needs characters rather than the soft touch of recent years. I'm all for 'risk & reward' over safe & bland every day of the week.
  3. Me too,,i can see the reasoning behind the deadline,it was to stop the Robert Lambert situation of signing someone in time for the playoffs, but thats dropping a rider not replacing an injured one. And how was Scunny supposed to plan on the possibility Gilkes gets injured a week ago?
  4. Scunthorpe wouldn’t have been able to run R/R because Gilkes was dropping to reserve this month. I think it’s perfectly reasonable that you are allowed to replace an injured rider and thought it has always been the rule.
  5. Glasgow need a signing more than Scunthorpe did. Scunny could have used guests or r/r all season, but Glasgow only get a 28 day facility. Means there could be a situation where a rider leaves a club, but they can't sign a replacement & the facility runs out before the Important matches at the end of the season 🤔
  6. I agree with the logic that a transfer should be allowed, but if the clubs don't plan for these situations & have to use guests till the end of the season, it's their fault!
  7. Agree, wish they BSPL wouldn't so willingly accept riders missing British matches. If clubs don't mind as they get guests, remove (or limit) that option, hopefully clubs then look for riders who don't miss so many meetings.
  8. That was pretty amusing lol! I wish it wasn't the case though.
  9. Yesterday
  10. Still an extra 2 matches though, just as finishing 4th would've been. Mind you Poole were big favourites last year when Redcar won the BSN series
  11. Seriously? It was a 100% racing incident, he even tried to avoid Tate.
  12. Really? I don't remember seeing anyone say that.
  13. Scunny have done 11 champ and 4 bsn so 15 out of 20,,75% Glasgow have done 10 champ and 4 bsn so 14 out of 20..70% so i cant see why they would be blocked
  14. Personalised the regs 010.3.1 Transfer Window No team changes will be allowed once that team has completed 75% of their fixtures in the following competitions, not including semi-finals and finals: - • Premiership League • Championship League & BSN Series combined Except riders returning to the team after injury who can only replace their original replacement. Not applicable in the British Development League.
  15. from what ive been told glasgow were stopped of signing a rider to cover howarth because the paperwork took a day longer to process over the deadline might be just normal speedway rumours or might be true but glasgow now have only 6 riders so why are scunny any different
  16. Probably under the best interests of the sport rules 😜
  17. 16 League 4 BSN group fixtures and 2 cup matches should give 22 meetings then 75% of this is the cut off for team changes, unless the " in the best interests of the sport" rules applies to scunny and the pilots 😜
  18. 75 0/0 of fixtures meaning what exactly? League, BSN, KO and everything?
  19. Are Scunny expected to run with 6 men? i can understand if it was a transfer but surely you are allowed to replace an injured rider?
  20. A win for buxton. Many a doubters said that this team wouldn't win a match.
  21. I wasn't suggesting that you have to accommodate every eventuality, just pointing out that the proposal of home meetings once a fortnight could completely exclude someone on a 2 shift system for a whole season. Can we afford for that to happen ? As some have already said, once people get out of the habit they often don't come back. Shift swaps are OK but I'm not sure you could do it every second Thursday for 5/6 months !!
  22. Nasty looking fall for Tate, hope its not as bad as it looked to his shoulder area. Trouble is, the track being what it was, the only option was the inside line and Nick went in too quickly, its going to happen when riders are all chasing the same line, credit to Steve for trying to get water on it but it was just too dry from the start.
