  1. Past hour
  2. From 2001 to the mid 2010's it was very well used, most teams had fans posting. It started to fall off when the likes of Reading,Eastbourne and Coventry especially closed along with all the other tracks lost to the sport. There was quite a few Sheffield fans (Forum owner Phil included ! ) who would post daily, now hardly anyone bothers as the Tigers- Leicester meeting thread proved!
  3. I was on the forum years ago, had a brief spell off and rejoined when it was taken over.
  4. Hoping for the announcement any time?! Needs to be in place for monday
  5. Same here, Just know he's going to improve as well after he gets a few more meetings under his belt.
  6. Today
  7. I used to follow speedway from 1984 -1993 (ish) the sport was struggling then but had a shot in the arm when Sky came on board and I got interested again watching it on Sky Sports but was never tempted back to trackside. I'm not sure how many are left rattling around this forum now maybe 20-40 of us I can't remember when I joined possibly couple of years ago but has it always been a very small number of posters or were there hundreds here in the past ?
  8. Darcy will tell any Aussie prospects to go to Workington like he did with tate
  9. Ditto think ìt wìll be a close contest with Berwick prevailing in the end. Redcar weak at 2 4 an̈d 6 ( possibly), but hopefully they have a good n̈ight.
  10. Will be very near a full house in Leszno tonight with only 500 tickets left for sale a couple of hours ago.
  11. Wheres Gavan? Maybe he is having a drink with his old mate Mr Shovlar!
  12. KJP on a 3.53 for sure. Very impressed this week

  14. Can only see a comfortable aggregate win for the Bandits, unfortunately I think they will also win tonight, but as I am attending,I’m happy to be proved wrong!
  15. Blimey, a lot of witches fans really are glass half empty. They haven't lost that many this season and Lynn were due a good meeting. They said they'd had a word with all riders to improve there performance and it worked. Ipswich made starts but got passed. Tom went from first to last in heat 1. It happens and doesn't concern me at all, I'm glad to have a local team I can watch and see some good battles, there'll always be a winner and a loser, that's sport.
  16. Just hope that Battye rides his way too full fitness and rides sensibly. He will be a great asset at Shielfield at reserve. We need him there.
  17. Various clubs in Premiership and Championship have tried to get Beau Bailey to ride in the UK since the season has started. He has had some very good offers along with opportunities to be taken under the wing and live with more experienced Aussies and their families (Not Poole ) but his parents are quite strong in their views not in 2026 There is an outside possibility that he may slot into a Premiership side just before the cut offs for the playoffs in August but that will depend on how his Polish team progress in next few weeks
  18. What do Mayfield do? Hellstrom-Bangs has to go for sure. Kevin Juhl Pedersen has been impressive so far but Jonas Jeppesen is available again on a 4.34 after being released by Northampton.
  19. An interesting answer from the BSP to a question asked by the Speedway Star as to why we now have riders absent on Thursdays when it was a UK priority night... It has been mentioned in here quite a few times, so I thought I would share the "official line".. Included within the answer is this... "Ahead of the 2025 season, a new TV deal in Poland saw selected fixtures from Metalkas 2 Extraliga (the second division) switched to Thursday evenings, usually one meeting per round. Faced with a scenario whereby rider availability for those competing in Poland may well have been further restricted, agreement was reached for the concession of priority to Poland for these televised Thursday fixtures". Now, my simplistic view would be that saying " No" to losing priority would have guaranteed no clashes, whilst saying "Yes" to losing priority pretty much guarantees clashes.. However, I presume some "leverage" was involved from those holding all the Speedway cards?... Another excellent production this week...
  20. Because it isn't 😃 it's the BSN semi final, they only guarantee to show the final
