  1. Past hour
  2. Surprised no thread till now It's a cracker level overall after 11 heats
  3. Really can't see many radical changes to the structure in 2026, they will probably go Premiership/Championship again. 6 clubs in Prem, 9 in Championship. Which will see the usual gaps in the calendar, maybe some form of National League will now be viable for Workington and we get a few extra meetings that way, because if it's anything like what we saw yesterday at Northside it produces great entertainment.
  4. Decent line up. As well as Coops Ingram, Etherington, Loftus and Norman are all fine prospects.
  5. https://ipswichwitches.co/raceday-guide-tigers-academy-open/ Looking forward to watching the young uns on Thursday. Particularly Cooper.
  6. https://ipswichwitches.co/raceday-guide-tigers-academy-open/ Hopefully plenty turn out to support the youngsters.
  7. Today
  8. Long-term weather forecast is very settled for the next week, so no problems likely.
  9. Yep enjoyed that, good mixture of views from the guests (and accents 😁) What's the host's name?
  10. The notion Ipswich aren’t a family club is just flagrant trolling - fwiw belle vue are a similarly run club imo showing loyalty over countless years. Really can’t understand your constant derisive rhetoric towards the witches. Now being run by a second generation of the Louis family, both of whom were succesful riders and promoters over many decades. Captained by a rider who first rode for us as a 16 year old 21 years ago. Managed by a former captain of many years. Led from the front by world class riders in Emil and Doyle - Doyley being quoted as saying he’d happily see out his British career at the club. Ellis a returning rider who first rode at reserve as a teenager, Dan Thompson career revived when at a crossroads being dumped by Leicester, rew returning to help us win the trophy with Hawkins describing him in the meeting preview as “his first choice as soon as Adam was out, he’s our rider” Ipswich our as much a family as any club Now more than ever the speedway community needs to pull together and cohesively push towards a sustainable future for British speedway where we’re retaining clubs and even hopefully seeing past clubs re open or even new ventures come to fruition like Workington have in the last couple of years. I took my aged 9 t shirt with me Thursday as a good luck charm, signed by all 6 riders of the 98 team of 27 years ago on the track in the wild celebrations that night we won it all, it was a great talking piece with other fans around me reminiscing of that night sharing stories and remembering dad having to hoist me up over the fence so Tony rickardsson could reach to sign it for me! It’s certainly felt like a family club to me over the 36 years I’ve been going and others far longer, I’m a third generation fan with my grandfather even helping dig it out when it was originally built.
  11. Good news, looking forward to a trip to watch the bull hitmen.
  12. Bradford has got the crowd capacity with over 25,000 . The stadium is right alongside motorway network . The track I agree would cost money to upgrade as well as Installing a new safety fence. However Cardiff must have cost a fortune to install the track etc . Manchester must cost plenty to install the extra capacity. Yes everything would be costly. But just imagine a 20 odd thousand crowd at a speedway meeting in this country again and best of all, outdoors. It certainly tops hard to get to Ipswich. If it’s true there was around 10,000 there the other night and the atmosphere was apparently amazing, then almost treble that and you’d have Odsal on gp night.
  13. Capacity would likely be the issue for a SGP (I'm not sure what it stands at the moment) but the track itself is fantastic and regularly produces high quality racing. For that reason alone I hope its awarded some more SGP Challenge qualifiers/final, it deserves it.
  14. Zach Cook rode until the end of the season at Birmingham but wasn’t tapped up by Belle Vue and his brother And your comments about lpswich aren’t trolling ??? We do not poach riders no more than you do … we signed 2 sacked riders in Ellis and Thompson lol
  15. Couldn’t give a monkeys who wins …. Just the usual shovlar crap we have to read about the reserves
  16. Was banking on that tbh. But with the fixture chaos in the championship especially organising SF and finals, have to run them soon as possible to fit everything in.
  17. The same 3 clubs have 3 competitions to finish, Redcar & Poole in all of them. Couldn't really hold off any longer, matches need to be raced. If they had finished the KOC & BSN especially earlier in this season, then maybe they could've planned around the Prem final?
  18. Hopefully it'll be Glasgow out of the two options. I don't think Glasgow is that good a racing track, but it's levels above Ipswich. I don't think the capacity of Ashfield is very high, though?
  19. As it hasnt been run since Covid I doubt it very much. The current promotion don't seem to want to gamble on a probable loss making individual meeting.
  20. According to updates, Cairns passed Harrison for second behind Foord in a earlier race.
  21. Maybe we should call him 'strap' in future. He usually talks 'bo!!ocks' most of the time.
  22. Not possible for Bradford to be granted a FIM license as circuit doesn’t meet safety standards (could be altered but at huge cost). Not sure what Infrastructure Ipswich is lacking considering they have hosted stock Car world championship with 10000 fans - also consider the size of footprint required for stox pits. Quite a few circuits in the GP are less than easy to get to - Given a domestic final last week attracted 6000 fans there should be a lot of confidence another 4000 would make the trip. Glasgow could be a good shout and nice to truly have a Scottish GP. What is the capacity of the stadium?
