  1. Past hour
  2. Life's not always about doing what we want
  3. Don't worry people Starmers on the case
  4. Interesting scenario with Riss, if he put a point on his ave, I'd probably call that a disappointing season. Think Morris could put a point on his ave, but not 2. Oxford look to have more improvement in their averages as a whole, good team.
  5. He goes very well around Oxford and used the inside better than most
  6. Yeah, think he could put a point on his average.
  7. They probably do have those ambitions, but not necessarily next season. The reserves for example could be aiming to reach that level in 2027 or 2028?
  8. Pickering is entertaining both on and off the track. Need more characters like him. I remember him getting the elbows out with Antti Vuolas at Belle Vue. Got the atmosphere going
  9. When is Plymouth Gladiators track shop open over the Christmas period?
  10. They changed the rules last year, Zischke dropped to 3.00 in the Prem, so did Gusts allowing into the Champ on 4.50. I totally agree with you, that it shouldn't be allowed to happen, at a time when foreign riders are more restricted due to Poland flexing their muscles, why not encourage more Brits?
  11. At least he has put it on a Poole thread 😁
  12. Today
  13. Bit like signing for Scunny and then saying I'm off if Sheff are in one league, Shotgun load, point at foot, pull trigger, repeat.
  14. The thing what a lot of people don’t get about polish speedway is you can’t have an off day or even a slightly off day, some clubs worse than others,Pickering would probably had a bollocking for not scoring enough points even though they took him out his ride, it is a different mentality over there than it is in England, over here clubs understand you are human and not everyday you’re at your best but over there you are a machine and if the machine is not a full production they not happy especially if they don’t win but in Poland one thing you don’t do is threaten not to come back next week
  15. Thanks for letting the bsf know,I expect you've saved thousands making a wasted journey 🙄
  16. My first season as a Comets fan was 1970 (Ian Thomas/ Geoff Brownhutt brought speedway to Derwent Park)and you didn't know when attending a Friday night meeting that there would be 'Silver helmet' match races - not until you saw the trophy sitting on the table next to the starting gate. But it was good to have that extra treat for your speedway fix. One night stands out for me about the silver helmet in 1973. Comets had heavily outscored Berwick, the visiting rider Jones(?) had custody of helmet so top scoring Comet would challenge the Bandit. However 4 Comets were points-wise able to take this challenge on i.e. Lou Sansom, Taffy Owen, Mal McKay and Mitch Graham - so to decide who would be the Bandits opponent the shortest straw drawn (in pits)would do the business. The announcer told the crowd Mitch Graham will be Comets rider - at which point many of the crowd booed loudly - I recall being very very annoyed with these so called Comets fans. However the boos soon changed to cheers as Mitch won the helmet....but he lost it next night boo hooo.
  17. That's fast approaching, especially with Christmas in between
  18. Not now happening on Saturday 20th as the new stock has not arrived (held up in shipping apparantly). If stock arrives in time then the Poole track shop will be open next week before Xmas - watch out for more news on the club's socials!!
  19. Surely the deadline for the declaration of intent to run is January 6th 2026!!
  20. A lot of people prefer to pick up paper copies, same with newspapers, tried the free trials but can't get away with it, so back to paper copies on a rainy day, but that's been most days lately up in west Cumbria
  21. Seems like a lot of spin put on that statement, the actuality is more like they couldn't sell it, like many clubs before them. Doesn't bode well for Ippo. Maybe the deadline for the declaration of intent to run its fast approaching?
  22. I've not said that and it seems he won't be the RS anyway.
  23. This was part of the clip https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=pfbid0PdBwaBoJgApENMh3ibuNypnCDJKgEGzupYwcu54HZtJdVeXRtzRbqWoGpYjx3jBnl&id=100064130705677&mibextid=wwXIfr
  24. Comparable to Gusts you make a decent point but to say that Rushen is the better / best option for RS is questionable. In terms of development id argue that both Luke Harrison and Jody Scott are ahead of Rushen in regards to ability and experience at higher levels and they still did admirably but certainly not spectacularly at RS. Every year there is a next big thing and all of those riders are largely progressing nicely but thers a heck of a lot more Sam Hagon's than there there are Dan Bewley's
