Maybe a factor, but, for me, it's the huge drop off in the number of riders capable of holding down team places... Hence the majority DU just to provide 15 teams of the "desired" levels.. In the 70's, hundreds of lads tried to be Speedway riders, and "training schools" were the norm at many tracks... Now, so few come through, that the "old heads" actually keep the sport going..

I would say the introduction of air fences, has definitely been a factor in riders going on into in to their 40s. Riders bodies in the 80s and 90s took a lot more punishment with solid fences taking no prisoners, hence imo thats why a lot of riders didn't make it past their mid 30s.

You forgot the under track heating and the hospitality suite with Jacuzzi but apart from those two small items you got the rest covered.

I’m saying it because the day i posted they did not show any match next Tuesday on 2 places but did for the 21st/22nd matches. 1/ daily schedule 2/ the Speedway fixtures section where the 3 dots are. If you want to have a go at someone i suggest you talk to scheduling in Ireland ! Edit just checked and Tuesday is streaming only listed.

A great afternoon of speedway over the four matches. Good entertainment and thanks to all involved including those providing the links so that we get to see the meetings live. If only a UK broadcaster picked up on this and even showed highlights. I guess we can dream on.

Agree, Zielona Gora have been the biggest dissapointment for me this season. Looked a decent side on paper with 3 GP Riders and Shamek but everything seemed to go wrong from the get go.

Częstochowa team is a joke at Ekstraliga level. Zielona Góra should have been top 4 contenders but other the Lebedevs, their top 5 have been a disappointment. Kubera is rubbish, Madsen & Pr Pawlicki very hot/cold.

Agree, Leszno are only that high up in the table because they've faced weakened sides almost every week imo. Think they've only faced two full strength sides in their last 6 meetings and one of them was Czestochowa.

At 24 KJP is at a bit of a crossroads,, is he ever gonna be a decent rider, or just another rider that hovers around the reserve birth.
