Glasgow Tigers 2027
Nickinho replied to TheWellBehavedWorrall's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
For some reason or another Tigers fans hate Lee but I think he's a terrific rider and a terrific guy who always put himself about on the track. I'd love to see him return to speedway for a third go at the sport. -
Pirates fans are probably crying after none of them wanted Cairns back. Apparently that's him hit his peak at 17 and it's all downhill from here lol

There is an announcement about Arlington Stadium at 12pm on Wednesday. Could be stocks...

Duty-free loans for items such as foam- or air-fences are available from within the speedway community. It it to Plymouth's credit that they want to raise the funding themselves themselves without going into debt, but if the alternative was to close down ..........

I’d of thought with them being that close they could find ways to get what’s needed and even take out a small loan? In the grand scheme of things it sounds silly to miss a year over an amount they could likely raise during the months before tapes up through sponsors, events and hopefully a grant or loan from the higher ups? Lets hope they’re at the tapes and get some good news soon

I’d be very happy with Newman coming back and you’re right in that he’d be a candidate to be captain, although if the club have to pick between riders of a similar ave like Rushen Newman Kennet Mcdiarmid Harrison and even the ones not rumoured Poole way, you’d have to say that he’s the least likely to put points on his average. Even if he is the best round Wimborne RD out of all riders on a 4.5/6 average. Decisions like these are why I’m glad I have no input on what’s done!
-
Often always cheap/free lodging at Middlos for any one, with him being at Northampton aswell, Wednesday race nights may suit him, I think these young riders need more races, only need to look at Zach Ben Tom and see that their best prem averages came when they were winning races for fun in the champ. If Oxford are doing their rumoured very very top heavy, maybe they had the choice between Killeen and Mitch and chose Killeen, rather than it being Mitch’s decision not to return
-
Isn't he based in Poland though? So depends if you wanna pay to bring him over every week i guess. But seeing as Tai recommends him to teams he is prob worth it.
-
Parnitskyi would come in on a 7.50 have to be a GP rider for 2 consecutive seasons which he hasn’t, next bracket is 7.50 for Ekstraliga riders with 6+ average
-
There surely has to be a place for Kyle Newman?! Voted the Fans' Rider of the Year at last night's End of Season Party and having stepped into the Vice-Captain role whenever Zach was unavailable this season, he is surely a candidate for Captain in 2027!!
-
I thought McDiarmid had an amazing first season over here, especially for such a young riders. Really expected him to kick on this season & if anything was a disappointment. Could be he'd make the next step up for Poole?
-
Zach has confirmed he will not be back next season. Big shame but what a sensational rider he’s been for the last 5 years
-
I suppose it is only a wild dream, but considering that one of SGP rounds is destined for Ipswich, I would not been totally surprised if 6 times world champion, Bartosz Zmarzlik, would consider returning to racing in the UK, and Ipswich particularly.

King's Lynn Stars 2027
therefused replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Any forward thinking promotion would have had Brennan in there sights for months so can’t imagine Lynn will be the destination. Did think about Bednar but an average of six I think? Too high for me -
Every team bar Workington has to weaken, so comparing next years teams to this year isn't how you pick the favourites imo. Otherwise that would mean it would be impossible for Poole to be favourites as they're bound to look weaker in 2027.

Partnitskyi must be higher than 5.5? Would have thought he would be an 8
-
So not U21 even at the start of the season? Have to see the definition I guess. Is it 21 and under or under 21?
-
Just abit of fun. Unrelastic ofcourse 1. Douglas 9.08 2. Howarth 4.63 3. D Thompson 5.99 4. N Partnitskyi (5.5 assessed) U21 5. Fricke 8.24 6. J Thompson 3.45 7. L Harrison RS U21 Very unrealistic but it does have two u21 riders in.

He has quite clearly hit upon a system that works for him... Like Woffy who also gave the UK a miss when at his peak.. And becoming a father will also mean he wont be wanting to be away from home... If he rides over here, then great, if he doesn't, he just joins a long list of those who don't...

I hope not. I'd much rather have Jason Doyle.

I would not be suprised to see Mitch McDiarmid miss the Championship altogether in 2027. He seems to me to be an ambitious young man, he has shown what he can do in the Championship at Oxford over the last couple of seasons & he has won a place in Northampton's Premier league team. He already has a place in the Polish system & no doubt top league clubs in Denmark & Sweden will have an eye on him.
-
There’s going to be quite a few riders who have preformed well in reserve this year that I can see loosing a team place next year. I worry some of these riders will be financially forced out of the sport altogether. We all understand the importance of developing youngsters but developing foreign riders at the expense of established uk riders is not the answer.

Is Jason Boyle going to Ipswich?
