  1. Past hour
  2. Told you earlier this summer that wasn’t happening. Coleman immediately dismissed that idea and didn’t seem the least bit interested in bringing him to Ipswich. He knew full well he doesn’t ride Foxhall well. I’d be extremely wary of those Polish articles in general though. Didn’t one of them last winter also say Lambert was riding in Britain this year?
  3. Yesterday
  4. Sounds nice but not very realistic. Need more people to donate less each and a few generous donations, then it's sorted. Which again, is easier said than done...
  5. Given the major surgery required to the table topping Aces and the new U21 rules plus the fact it seems to be 37-38 limit on the top five, the murmurings seem to indicate this team to try and retain the trophy is. Brady Kurtz Tom Brennan Robert Lambert Jaimon Lidsey Dan Bewley Beau Bailey William Carins
  6. While I agree with that, if Palovaara had been above par, his average would be too high to fill one of the final 2 spots. Because he underperformed, he now seems worth another shot - such is how the points limit works. He'd actually be a second strong with Etheridge a 3rd heat leader. Could potentially end up a heat leader or reserve, such is the potential make up of the Bandits team.
  7. Sounds easy saying that but to put it into practice is another thing. But could have a raffle at say £20 a head to get your name / company name on a panel, then sell other panel sponsorship at say £250-500 depending on size
  8. Dont think you were the only Club involved in Ziske over the 3 years though. You should thank him for hanging around for 3 season.
  9. Heard mid season before he went back home that his parents wanted him to finish school and take exams before thinking about speedway, just turned 16 in the summer
  10. Daniel Bewley has made no secret of his opposition to the planned changes to British speedway. The Betard Sparta Wrocław player criticised the idea of making the possibility of competing in foreign leagues conditional on having a contract in the UK. He used strong words in an online discussion, referring to human rights and describing the proposed solution as "modern slavery." The new rules are to come into force from the 2027 season and may also affect leading British riders competing in Poland. BEWLEY SHOT VERY ABOUT FORCE START The British ACU wants players using its licence to also participate in domestic competitions. Under the announced regulations, from 2027, competing in the British league is to be a condition for obtaining permission to race abroad. In practice, this would mean that riders such as Daniel Bewley and Robert Lambert would have to include performances in the UK if they wanted to continue competing in the Polish league. The idea sparked Bewley's opposition. The Sparta Wrocław player referred on platform X to a fan's post criticising the attempt to force Lambert to drive in British competitions. There is no way to enforce this," Bewley wrote. The rider also said he believed the court would reject such a solution "in two seconds." In his assessment, he referred to human rights and used the term "modern slavery." His position is primarily to limit players' ability to decide for themselves where they want to work and which leagues to compete in. BEWLEY DRIVES ONLY IN THE UK The British man's statement is particularly telling because he does not dissociate himself from his home league. He has represented Manchester-based Belle Vue Aces for years and has also signed with the club for the 2027 season. His objection therefore concerns not driving in the UK itself, but making the right to perform in other countries dependent on it. The situation is different for Robert Lambert, who has not competed regularly in British competitions in recent years. The player had previously made a possible return conditional on limiting the schedule to one match day a week. The announced solution does not meet this condition: British games are expected to take place both on Mondays and Thursdays. For players, this would mean having to include two league dates in the weekly calendar. There are also travels, equipment preparation and the need to reconcile duties in several games. TWO FOREIGN LEAGUES TO CHOOSE FROM The obligation to compete in the UK is part of a wider arrangement for the international speedway calendar. On the occasion of the three-year agreement between leagues and federations, which is to apply from 2027, it was also announced that it would limit the number of foreign leagues in which a player with a contract in Poland would be able to play simultaneously. According to the rules presented, he will be able to choose at most two of the three leagues: British, Swedish and Danish. If British players have to compete in their homeland, they will be left with the option of choosing only one of the other two leagues - Swedish or Danish. Such a solution would limit the freedom to plan for the season and could influence players' contractual decisions. In the case of riders performing in Poland, an additional obligation would mean the need to adjust the calendar to the requirements of the British federation. WHAT DO THE NEW REGULATIONS MEAN FOR SPARTA WROCŁAW? The issue is also important for Betard Sparta Wrocław. Daniel Bewley has represented the club since 2020 and recently announced the extension of his contract for another two seasons. So Sparta has further sporting plans with the Briton. If the announced regulations come into force in the form presented, maintaining the possibility of Bewley's starts in Poland will also require meeting the conditions for his performances in his homeland. The ultimate importance of the legislation will depend on its implementation and how it is enforced. Supporters of the changes may point out that the presence of more top players would elevate the level and appeal of British competitions. On the other hand, there are questions about the freedom to choose leagues, the load on the schedule and the possibility of reconciling additional starts with duties in Poland. Daniel Bewley made his position clear: he disagrees with a solution that makes the ability to race abroad conditional on a mandatory contract in his home league. His strong words show that the proposed regulations can become a subject of further discussion in the international speedway environment Interesting bit in there. Dan back at belle vue. Sorry Ipswich
  11. Rules could change at the last minute, then them clubs who have signed riders may have to ditch someone
  12. Who knows we here rumours but no facts comes from them in charge, once again it appears silence is golden a bit like last close season. Even though them in charge did say the same couldn't happen again
  13. Is Doubling Up classed as one league for the UK, or two, in the rules laid down by Poland?.. That could impact some of the riders if it is two...
  14. Despite what a lot of Bandits fans have said, I think Palovara has been below par. I would have taken him as a second string rather than third heat leader. Its probably irrelavent anyway because he hasn't been mentioned yet, so i don't think he'll be back. Just over 8 points to play with for the final two spots, i'm thinking another young Aussie may be on the radar.
  15. 2.51 and 5.64 are the averages for both riders which would come to a total of 39.77 assuming it’s a 40.00 limit then yes it would.
  16. Viv muddle came over with Tate last year. He has been getting at least a few pointers from Darcy Ward this year. Does he qualify for a visa? Could he be the comets next up and coming Aussie?
  17. Hasn't stopped Berwick! So things must be pretty much agreed. Probably Prem holding everything up as usual 😉
  18. I've heard Mr.Bain's has planned to tackle team building completely different. If the rumours are true, he plans to get a lot of new additions
  19. Vey well said! Bravo ! What LagutaRacingFan shows is lacking knowledge of the European history.
  20. Yh I hear what you are saying but the problem last year was that we didn’t know if the premiership was running at all with the problems at Ipswich or Sheffield. The question this year is a different one, how many teams are running in each league so there’s no reason the existing teams can’t start building teams to the already agreed points limit with the AGM to follow later to ratify the league line ups and rules for the season?
  21. Because Lambert is British and both Laguta and Sayfutdinov are Russians. That's why.
  22. If they already have 19k, it would only take 500 fans donating £50-55 each (once, not every moth) the fence would be paid for.
  23. Five signings before the first page of the forum had finished, has to be a record?
  24. If it is to be 6 teams again they better make sure teams are of equal stature and any team can win. Make every match a must win
