Birmingham v Sheffield Mon 16th June PL

Happy to be in the sunshine.😄

And he's probably right to be averse, Leicester's success over the last couple of seasons has mainly been due to our riders not missing any matches, most of them have been ever present or only missed 1 meeting... Steve Worrall could fit the bill?

So glad I didn’t waste my time going to this one, was a lot easier just to switch BSN off, absolute shambles from Birmingham -
SGP Gorzow 2025
ShanoXtra replied to aarongaleuk's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I'm heading over for this one, seeing the family and spending some time in Gorzow, still a lot of tickets for sale. How Stal have underwhelmed this season with the issues I've previously mentioned on other threads is shown by the amount of locals buying into this, hopefully the stadium is full for Saturday. Also given how long the decision was made when to put the tickets on sale due to the new sales team and delaying the release of sales for tickets has hit hard, I assume people looked at the start of the season where to go and earmarked their interests but with Stal not showing even confidence of restarting the 2025 season at the back end of this year it has been somewhere people would probably be put off due to the uncertainty. On a positive note for Stal, one fourth of the SGP line up, 4 out of 16 to anyone who lacks mathematics, is represented by the home team, Lebedevs, Vaculik, Thomsen and Paluch. This should give the Gorzow faithful something to cheer for after a poor season. Although the favourite will undoubtedly be the home boy Zmarzlik. -
Think you will find that Ashton had been on Motorcycles from a young age.

It's funny that people have demanded for years that PL reserve spots should be for Brits, now we've effectively got that and they don't even realise it. Even funnier is that the one foreign reserve - Gusts - has just qualified for the GP Challenge and yet Oxford aren't absolutely nailed on to win the league. How can your team have a rider of such ability at reserve - at this level - and still not do anything?
-
You're probably the only person in the world who thinks Lasse Fredriksen is an upgrade on Mitch McDiarmid, Ben Morley is an upgrade on Jonas Knudsen and Jacob Hook is an upgrade on Francis Gusts. You also seem to have invented R/R for Cheetahs tomorrow, when Cam is back from injury. Keep taking the pills, Blobby!
-
It would be disappointing if that's the case, for both reasons, the injury severity and R/R. I guess ultimately the only available replacements will be from abroad, and Stewart has shown a marked aversion to bringing in continental riders since he's been with the Lions.

If your good enough you just have to get on with it.Pressure comes with the job.Lee ,Collins,Loram and many others had the same pressure.
-
While there are a few Aussie-born "Brits" at reserve for Championship teams -- who would presumably be allowed to continue under your suggestion -- the only true foreigner who is currently running at reserve is Francis Gusts at Oxford. So it isn't just as bad a situation as some might suggest. However, I agree with your point -- riders at reserve in a Championship team should be British, or at least should be qualified to race at NDL level.

That's a shame,why the laughter clive?

Ipswich v Leicester Monday 23rd June Live on TV
Bash replied to racers and royals's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Can't see Doyle doing this meeting. GP, Polish league fixture & then Ipswich, three meetings in three days. I think he should miss the GP this weekend as it would take a miracle to get in the top 7 now. But Doyley being Doyley he will try to do all three. If he struggled at KL last night how will he get on at Ipswich where you have to turn harder.
