  1. Past hour
  2. A reply well worth reading. I happen to think it would be good for the sport to have two people involved who are well versed in dealing with (one of the biggest) councils successfully enough to have a new dedicated speedway stadium in a built up area near to the city centre. By all means though, keep posting your insightful comments.
  3. To be fair the alternative is for to come out and say "we are utterly fooked, abandon ship, everyman for himself" but as you say bar losing Kurtz and Doyle to injury in the first four heats it should be a shoe in result.
  4. One of the problems is they keep admitting throughout the season that the league matches are just qualifiers & finishing top isn't a necessity. So if fans are in two minds, they may as well just wait for the play-offs. Of course in Poland they manage decent crowds all year, maybe meeting opposition teams once a season would help (if there was enough teams in the league)?
  5. Can't agree with Simon Stead saying the pressure is on Belle Vue, even though they're highly expected to win. If they were 20 points down maybe, one bad heat & you can panic. But as it is, riders should be as relaxed as you can be for a grand final.
  6. Being based in Marylebone I have to plan travel with care but Friday night at Belle Vue followed by Saturday at Redcar and a slow train journey home on Sunday seams the ideal way to end the season
  7. Today
  8. It is more likely that he would apply for Polish citizenship. His wife is Polish and they reside there.
  9. He came into the crowd. He was all big smiles, high fives and handshakes. As I said might have been good bye but I’m not sure.
  10. Nah, it was pretty much eradicated in the UK in 1940s.
  11. Yesterday
  12. An update to the relevant rule has been issued by the SCB today: "Registration No. 134679 England VAT No. 238 5704 48 Registered Office: A.C.U. House Wood Street Rugby CV21 2YX E: info@scbgb.co.uk Amendment to Regulation 12.1.11 Date Issued: 15/10/2026 Regulation No: 12.1.11 Subject: Leaving the Track Addition to current wording of 12.1.11 A rider whose machine crosses the inner edge of the track marking with 2 wheels must be disqualified unless, in the opinion of the Referee, the action was taken in the interest of safety for other riders or the rider involved was forced off course by another rider"
  13. They cannot give Emil and Artem Wildcards without joining a Circus as the FIM and Mayfield will spend most of the year jumping through hoops while juggling jelly. They're Russians who are banned. For the convenience of the Polish authorities they have Polish licences/citizenship. But the PZM will fight tooth and nail to stop them getting a Wildcard instead of a Polish rider.
  14. Yeah gone over my head that one. Sure you meant well though.
  15. Could see Pickering at Northampton, it sure where he’ll end up in 2027 in the Premiership if not
  16. As it says he’s in riding in the Championship not at Scunny but at a track he’s never represented before 🤷‍♂️
  17. Your wording was "both wheels had gone on the line". Also, you've ignored the point I've made about the SCB Regulation being ambiguous. It doesn't say "both wheels at the same time", nor does it say clearly what constitutes the wheel(s) crossing the line. The ambiguity of the Regulation is exactly (ironically) why there has been so much debate, and why the referee made the decision, which - according to others with a different view of the ambiguity - was wrong. This latest SCB shambles proves that they must have been the brains behind VAR.
  18. What he did before the meeting at Plymouth may have been a fond farewell but it certainly didn’t come across that way. I’m not convinced victor is going anywhere.
  19. Tom B back in Championship but unfortunately for a Scunny will be a little further down the country at a new home track for him
  20. Laguta uses Kowalski Racing and he is fast as anybody.
