  1. Past hour
  2. I remember the cat park incident, can't remember the other incidents... that's not to say they didn't happen.
  3. Looks like it’s across the board at £25/£23 entrance fee. They must have got their heads together on this one. Only saving grace with the smaller league is fans outlay to see their team before any cup progression is less this year. Whether this represents value for money at your particular track is another thing.
  4. What the £30 or the posh northerners? Yes, a premium adult grandstand ticket for a league match says £30 on their website.
  5. Forgive me if my memory's faulty, but i think there were a couple of severe vandalism incidents during the Hemsley era, which resulted in security measures being implemented. There was also the strange robbery incident when cash takings were taken from Mr & Mrs Hemsley in the car park.
  6. Nobody is forced to donate, purely a personal decision. The promotion have been overwhelmed by the support, both financial and practical, that they have received to date. How long does it take insurance companies to pay out? The need is now! Not in a few months time.
  7. Today
  8. Going twos up on Agnetha does have a bit more appeal than with Charles Wright.
  9. Thanks. That will at least give an early indication of any change in approach by the Council
  10. Interesting post. Are there any council elections due in Rugby in the near future that may have an effect on a CPO being considered?
  11. He didn't mention police. If there had been CCTV to alert everyone on night one of the vandalism, it might have been possible to have some dubious lads with iron bars on standby for day 2 to avoid a repeat. I know of 2 tracks in the past where this has been an effective solution.
  12. While it seems a sensible approach, will there be too many unknowns. Will Northampton and perhaps Ipswich be successful enough this year to continue in a Premiership level league? Will Sheffield be up for sale or sold. If the latter will the new owners opt to stay I the top tier or want to drop down. Similarly which league will Leicester want? The rider talks could turn everything on its head if they opt out of racing in Britain if terms aren't to their liking. Really we can't let them hold us to ransom, even if it means going to one league and a "ground zero" approach. These guys may have to face the reality of British Speedways being part time and think about getting a day job. How many work during the close season? Not to many I'd guess. Something has to change!
  13. You must live in Shangri-La where the police bother to track down certain groups of people after they've committed crime 🙃
  14. A different version... Like the UK used to do before it came a free for all... I can see then using the current UK model next year if Poland get their way...
  15. Up to £30 at Belle Vue for those posh rich northerners 😉
  16. £25, just a stroke of good luck that nobody who follows speedway or would potentially follow speedway is in any way feeling a pinch on their finances and are having to tighten their belts
  17. Similar situation here. Up a quid and no Doyle or Emil.. Prices not quite the same across the board though as ours has kids under 16 free so perhaps they all just have a general agreement on the main adult prices, and leave the rest to the promoters discretion.
  18. I thought they did doubling up in Sweden also, I'm pretty sure they used to at least?
  19. Reading the Leicester website, it read as if all adult PL admission would be £25 this year... "Racenight admission prices have been set in line with the other Premiership clubs and will be as follows: Adults £25, Concessions £23, Children (12-16) £5, Children (5-11) £1, Under-5s Free." Which is up 2 quid for us... and no Max Fricke!
