Looks like we have a spammer on the forum

I do agree with what you're saying and I think the poster should be able to post what he wants in reason on this forum. But and its a big but, the forum has been totally saturated by the posts on what seems every single thread going. Other posters don't want that and it puts them off both posting and visiting the site. The poster needs to calm down and not railroad every thread going. -
Who even runs their socials?

Personally, a little chickle is ok, its no more annoying than the football drivel that gets brought up with monotonous regularity.. Or the insults on the Poole thread a while back -
Don't hold your breath... we've been waiting for news everyday for the last 3 months π€£ I'm sure everything is fine but who knows when we're actually gonna find out

I agree - but surely a bit of help from their social team wouldn't go amiss? They've posted about signings for every other NDL team and have ommitted Buxton entirely π

It should, but you're forgetting... this is Speedway π

I think the fake outrage was more genuine fear. A Nora national league could have easily operated alongside the BSPL leagues but with the ability to take a fresh look, introduce fresh ideas but also drop any that didn't work whilst being forgiven as it would have been a known work in progress. Instead the BSPL threatened riders that competed in it and threatened clubs with closure if they co-operated. Rather than generate track time for both established and emerging riders its was beaten down by snakes who champion themselves as saviours of the sport.

Personally I'm delighted it's 6pm start time as I have a family and work so taking up my Saturday afternoon was a problem. Loys of people work Saturdays and if they do a 3pm start is not possible, I agree with others to it clashes with the football at the start and end of the season including the Reds. There are quite a few reds fans also attend speedway so if they are at home they have a choice to make. I do feel for the people relying on public transport to get there and home as its crap at best our public transport. Not sure if the attendance went up last season on the meetings they had at 6pm but hopefully the speedway do end up getting the floodlights from Borough Park and we get real speedway under the lights how good would that be.

I have said it for years the national league should go their own way with the blessing of the bspl, ultimately the higher leagues donβt and never have cared for the NL unless there is some sort of financial gain for them, they get jealous of any NL club that has any financial success and set out to penalise that club, the fake outrage when a Nora league was mooted was speedway in a nutshell, our way or no way, the likes of Barry bishop understand the bspl mentality, donβt expect any help because they donβt care

It needs to be on free to air mainstream TV, which then (might), engage some of the old followers to attend, and ignite some interest from the millions, within 45 mins of many tracks, who literally don't know the sport exists... And free to air mainstream TV may also get some "new money" sponsors into the sport, rather than "in house" sponsorship which doesn't move the sport forward... However. Some "proper cash injection" would need to be met with an agreement to run the sport authentically from a team aspect though, and, given so many "hobbyists" are involved, that may be a big barrier to overcome...

They couldn't afford less Prem teams as then there would be too many riders not able to DU.... At thst time. With Ipswich being possibly not running, and Northampton still a twinkle in some promoters' eye, they simply couldn't afford another Prem team to drop... With only four Prem teams you would pretty much be at the point when one league would be the only realistic outcome, as those four surely couldn't go it alone... And one league means DU'ing is dead....

RIP Terry, and condolences go out to family and all who knew himπ

I haven't looked at the fixtures in detail, but just assumed every team picked the same week to have the later rounds of BSN & KOC competitions, so whoever goes through they'll be available the same day as their opponents?

I know this might be considered as a side track to the current conversation, but I'm getting a bit annoyed at the BSPA not posting literally anything about Buxton's return on social media. They've got a combined reach of 85,800 followers across Facebook & Instagram, and since Buxton announced their return they haven't made the effort to make one single post about them - that includes their return, signings, anything. The only mention was when they announced the NDL rules, and that was more of a side note than anything. I can't say I'm surprised though, as we know what they can be like, but it's disheartening to witness this, with the fact that there's a new (not new) track in the country now. That kind of reach can be make or break for a new track - even if 25% of the followers see the post that's still 21,000 people who see it.

Iβd give him the benefit of the doubt. A bad season can be turned around if the enthusiasm is still there.

Was it open to the public or behind closed doors

Should get something today surely considering it was signing on night yesterday.

People need to remember this when looking to lambast the Premiership for the ongoing situation Other options that may have been put forward were dismissed as the Championship wanted nothing other than the status quo
