Publicity... who needs it...!!!!

And right there is why the sport is on its arse because you justify mediocrity, it matters, the little things all add up, if you want the sport to expand to the outside world it matters,?every little thing matters no matter if you think it doesn’t, at least Phil morris understands this, first impressions matter more now than ever

Media day
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv replied to Racin Jason 72's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Village fete it is then Anyone interested in tickets for the tombola? 25p each or 5 for £1 - numbers ending with 5 win a packet of cuppa soup... -
No, my argument is the fact we put an individual meeting on with a fabulous line up and people comment negatively about the bleedin podium. A podium that does exactly what it should do. 1,2,3 & sponsors backdrop for photos. Anything other than that is personal preference or more likely a bias against all things Belle Vue. We’re not going to stop pushing on so there will be plenty more for you guys to feed on. Podium, I still can’t believe it. What to you aspect from a Manchester podium, Sydney Opera House, perhaps? The Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeests sweeping majestically across the plain”.

What about Northampton?

Apologies if this has been mentioned before but the University of Northampton have a large media centre. They have been Northampton Town’s sponsor for many years and work closely with the Club so there must be a possibility of a relationship there. -
Well looking at her she well below average
-
Or not for the admission price on offer..
-
Are you sure they come in under 37.00. And what is JHB's assessed average?
-
I think it would be a backward step to not have a media day and it would probably be beneficial for the other two leagues to do one too.
-
And the interest wasn't too great to start with sadly...
-
The media day will have all the riders in their race suits sat on rows of pallets at belle vue and on the end there will be 7 life size cardboard cut outs of riders like Dag Lovas, ove fundin, trond stretting lars munkerdal Glenn Doyle, Das sumner and Edgar stangerland who will be representing Brafield badgers this season only they couldn’t find the Glenn Doyle one so they got a Julie Hartley brewer one hoping nobody would notice

What about Northampton?

Surely what this says is that the product was not attractive enough to entice any of the extras back... -
Surprise!!!!!!!! One off gestures don't work... A free meeting needs to be part of a larger enticement programme with gradual imcreases.. Eg next four meetings for a tenner each, next two for fifteen, next two twenty, then full price... With constant communication and feedback sought during this period, from those who are using the discounted tickets.... "Build it and they will come" only works in movies... The sport desperately needs people who can market and engage..

Sensible thinking to be honest , I personally wish he had retired as he's had some really bad knocks in recent seasons but only he can decide on that, if he's not looking to take to much on I wonder if he will just focus on Poland this year is he still riding in their top league ?
