  1. Past hour
  2. Speedway rider syndrome, if you can walk, you can race..
  3. Kvech has done 5 GP:s this year as a series reserve. Didn't do well in the first two but reached semi final on the last three.
  4. Updates didn’t really paint the picture tbf. He made more passes than that and was made to work hard for his wins in a few of his races.
  5. Looking at updates he passed Grahn in heat one, apart from that all from the gate.
  6. As a matter of passing interest were Klindt's 6 wins all 'from the gate' or was there any passing involved? He scored 18 points for Redcar at Poole back in May!
  7. Leader Przyjemski injured and misses 2nd round on Friday and probably final round as well. Konzack will replace him Kawczynski is the Wildcard for the Lodz 2nd round
  8. Sorry but there are not 4 wildcards only 3, however there could be a 4th if the SEC winner has already qualified by virtue of a top 7 GP standing or a top 4 Challenge place.
  9. The injury Vinnie had, I’m not convinced he’s fully fit to be honest. To come back that quick especially.
  10. Today
  11. Yeah the kid maybe does have promise, done well in the danish u21 final, but in this league you struggle to carry one passenger. We’ve been there before in the first year back in the championship and it seems lessons haven’t been learned. Nicolai was always the first choice for this season, but “outpriced” himself if that’s how you want to word it, when I think it wasn’t too much to ask. Whatever he wants next season, give him it because he’s the most dominant rider I’ve seen around there.
  12. The main issue that Vinnie had was he was injured in the first meeting of the season. He was out for a month or so and was playing catch up in terms of race fitness and shaking off his injury. He then ended up in the main team and with not that many matches to get race fit and the step up, his form has nose dived but there are signs he can improve although in an ideal world he should be doing this in a reserve berth.
  13. Vinny definitely should be riding at reserve, I suggested dropping Jakobsen when he was still on his 5.00 average, but got a few replies saying he had promise.
  14. Don't forget Berwick have the KOC final to come, plus either Redcar or Berwick in the BSN final.
  15. On Wednesday the Pirates take on the Bandits for the second time this season, only this time league points are up for grabs. Last time the teams met was in the knockout Cup and the Bandits were the winners despatching the Pirates over two legs including a 20 points win at home. Poole will need to be on top form with the Bandits having riders who can ride Wimborne Road very well. Nick Morris can be a handful and Jye Etheridge can be fast from the tapes. Peter Kildermand if available could also be a danger. The middle order for Berwick is where I think the Pirates could come out on top. Victor Pallovaara and Jordon Jenkins could possibly be the weak link. Jenkins was at reserve last time and is coming back from injury. Rede Battie hasn't ridden Wimborne Road before and Jack Smith isn't that great at Poole. The Pirates need to be fired up for this meeting and need to not only win, but by enough to be in contention for the bonus point when the teams meet at Shielfield Park on the 8th August. Thoughts.
  16. Going to need a 14-16 point lead to take to Leicester to have a realistic chance I think. Not likely but we’ll see.

  18. Yesterday
  19. Bandits made hard work of that. Not a good omen for the KOC final. Good to see the Bandits top two in the points as well as Reid Battye after his struggles at Oxford on Friday. Jordan Jenkins clearly not 100% fit and missed the post meeting victory parade, being treated in the medical room. Track looked dry and the dust was flying. Had a good watering after a few heats, and it made some difference. Plymouth on the whole were quicker from the gate, but they are used to a dry, dusty track, so no surprise. What did surprise me was Plymouth not putting Barker in heat 15 instead of Nicholls Good to see so many Plymouth supporters in attendance and they were certainly in good spirits in the Black & Gold after the meeting. A decent speedway meeting with some good races sprinkled amongst the gate and go's. Highlight was Kildermand v Nicholls in heat 6. I and many others sat next to the start/finish line were convinced PK had got the win, but the transponder said different.
  20. I'm not convinced Lindgren will get a wild card, if he's made a comeback for the league but not GPs, organisers may think "if he doesn’t prioritise us, why should we prioritise him"?
  21. I'd like to use that average GP score system to choose would cards, if your average score wouldn't put you in the top 7, you're not eligible for a wild card?
  22. Some rider's can be brilliant in the leagues, but not able to do the same in the GPs, while others can perform on the big occasion.
