But he did stick rather than twist when everyone knew full well that Tom needed help. Doyle offered that help but the Club/Hurry said no because they didn't want to release three riders and it would've been an easy three picks imo. From a personal point of view, I think it's the Clubs job to re-build Tom after being partly responsible for his loss of confidence.

The racing was good - it seemed much slicker last night than it was the last time I went, maybe that's the answer for Lynn? Brennan was terrible, looked nervous, even when in good positions he gave them away easily. Obviously very low on confidence but Ht 13 was better. Hopefully he can focus on that.

I wondered if any Witches fans were going to appear? š Well done! š

Many riders didn't like how grippy the track was.I haven't heard the bit about the fence being less forgiving.Indeed it would be had it not have the foam bags there.

Away from Brum, in 2024, Tom ran a 6.58 average... And that was in a season that included two "weaker teams" in Oxford and KL... Last season there were two "weak teams" in Oxford and Birmingham that he rode against, and did so from the more protected No3 position... Meaning his average made him a No1 this season, but reality, when up against those who are also No1's, said he isn't a No1 really.. Coming off a serious injury, and becoming a No1, was always going to be a big challenge for a rider who naturally, currently, isn't at that level..

Not at all as heās just a journeyman filling in for super Dan. Weāve had nothing to do with his progression not like those we are most well known for. Jason is more a product of and aligned with Somerset & Swindon.

Tomās 2024 average with Birmingham was 7.56 (inc bonus) from the tough second heatleader position. Tomās 2025 average with Ipswich was 7.64 (inc bonus) from the easier third heatleader position. If thatās a great progression (0.08) then we will have to agree to disagree. Tomās 2026 average with Ipswich is 6.26 (inc bonus) from the tough No1 position. I feel for the lad but heās made his bed.

Matejās replacement has to make way as any other changes to the side have to meet the 37 point team building criteria. The only problem for Northampton is their obvious lack of home knowledge. The team put together might not be champions but neither would they be the whipping boys in any other season than this, their first. Had the modest losses at home been turned into modest wins then peoples opinion would be very different as they sit on 9 points in the table instead of 2. Bonus points would follow due to their ability to keep things close away.

I would say August is still really the height of Summer so you may have to think of a better reply. I know Liontamer well and as a previous long standing supporter myself - 70 years for me - I fully understand his feelings. Speedway as a sport is great but all the endless delays between races is not. Numerous laps of watching a tractor go round, sun breaks, riders messing around at the tapes for ages is boring and sadly I don't miss it either. -
It seems to me Lynn is a track that you either ride well or not I believe many riders don't like riding there as they say the fence is less than forgiving .In his final season for Wolves PK threw a sicky ( almost unheard of from him)and would not ride at Lynn I assume for fear of injury .

Anyone got any idea what average Batch is on in both championship and premiership?
-
I am expecting Charles Wright to sign for Northampton upon his return.

Probably the right change - who would go to reserve? Batchelor? So effectively Zagar for Batchelor and a number 6 who should be capable of hitting higher scores than Jeppesen has been getting

Owe it to him even for next year? At the Wednesday talk a couple weeks ago Coleman admitted he wasnt sure if he made the right decision sticking by the riders and not doing multiple changes to bring Doyle in. That loyalty might see him through this year, not so sure about into next. By the same reckoning King waited around as well? Everyone can't get a spot cause they waited this last winter when you know the team is being built differently. If theres only a spot for 1x 6/7 average guy, why does brennan get it ahead of anyone else?

Lynn vs Ipswich July 2nd

I think a lot of Witches fans will! š had the Stars lost then it was definitely 4 teams only! -
Club owe it to Tom imo. Can't watch his confidence be destroyed and then bin him off imo, It's only right that the Club stick by him through the re-building process. Tom could've signed elsewhere as an engine room rider or a No.5 instead of waiting all winter to ride @ No.1 for Ipswich.

I get that he can ride in the champ but he wonāt. There is no way he will add the championship to his season now. He will probably see it as a step back, he has just been unfortunate that things didnāt go well at Bydgoszcz this season, itāll be a reset at the end of this season and go again with a different Polish club in M.2
-
I wouldn't call it a disaster, not even sure it's a 5 horse race for the play-offs. Lynn having dropped 4 points at home (none scored away) and Witches having gained 2 points away (none dropped at home) is a great position for Witches to be in. My first thought was, its a great result for Lynn, as they try to avoid the wooden spoon. Don't really know what's happened to Brennan? Not the form I expected.

Really, what football did he see in the height of summer? I ask because football season finishes early May and doesnāt start until mid August. -
Can't see that happening, his current converted average would be 10.69!

I must admit having gone through all the heats I am a bit curious as to what changes should have been made? Batch was riding well. The only one perhaps missed apart from. Lidsey in heat 13 would be heat 8 and frankly Jeppeson was unlikely to lower Dans T colours! NKI wasnt really great but not convinced he would have improved on what he got in those heats I also disagree with him being clueless at Ipswich a few weeks ago he was on it with the reserve changes etc and forced a last hear decider! -
Really enjoyable evening, some good racing and a Lynn win, what's not to like. Witches finally sent packing.
