Scunthorpe 2026
hackneyrocket replied to Youhave2minutes's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Scored 11 from 5 rides at the EWR last year when Berwick were there. -
Hausl is young. He should improve. Lambert's scores are heavily padded by beating very junior reserves in heat 2. You don't get to do that riding at 2. His Scunthorpe performances have not matched his guest appearance at Ashfield.

Broken ankle

Lambert averaging 1.6 more than Hausl this year, even taking into account he'd no longer be at reserve, that still strengthens the team.
-
I think it's more than an option, I think it's very likely guests & r/r will be used to cover Dan. How many injured heat leaders have been replaced in recent years, there was Morris replacing Cook after his ban & Klindt for Wright this year? There's not normally spare heat leaders without team spots.
-
I would say Morris, Howarth & Kemp x 2 as r/r is a better option than Sedgmen. They could always give Sedgmen some guest bookings if it's on a track he excels at though? Jeppesen another option of a Champ guest if every Prem team is racing on a particular day. That's the advantage of not signing a replacement, being able to pick & choose depending on opponents / if it's a home or away fixture.
-
It wouldn't be an upgrade. It would be a facepalm.

Was there last Thursday. Not giving up after one home meeting. Already have tickets for Thursday meet. Sure one or two riders not coming up with the goods, but lets give them a chance. Took my daughter & granddaughter last week. Though my daughter had been with me before (to MK), my granddaughter was completely new to this. she thoroughly enjoyed it and is looking forward to this week. Speedway can hardly afford for such a facility to fail, especially with people giving up so soon!!

He wasn't brilliant at the EWR when he rode for Scorpions in 2023. I know he has improved but didn't seem to like EWR.
-
Sad state of affairs when a local fan is already disillusioned. TBH i follow my teams in Football and Speedway through thick and thin, it's been mostly thin for both. But someone on the promotion should be speaking to you to try and resolve the issues. You might be full of good ideas to change them, it'll be a first for the BSPL but if after 5 matches only one of which was at home, you're fed up then they need to listen
-
I'm not sure how I feel about that 🫣.
-
It’s a marathon not a sprint .. unless you’re Harvey Price on the way to greggs for his twice daily feed …
-
That's really difficult to know isn't it... weren't they asking for people to tell them where they'd come from on socials? I saw a fair few familiar faces, riders, officials etc. And a lot of Bees and Panthers... not to mention Witches. It'll be interesting to see what the crowd is this Thursday, especially with it also being on BSN.

Indeed. Mind you, he has to survive Armadale on Friday first. -

Not sure if he’d fit numbers wise, but would miss a lot of meetings with Tourn riding Fridays with Ekstraliga on that night -
Will Simon Lambert replace the young German??
-
Probably was for Jakobsen but he has said now fit, but worky need 2 guest reserves this weekend
-
He’s too old for all that shacking about that’s only a young man’s game
-
Would Blodorn fit as a swap for tofty with the points we have left....
-
I know it would be a bit of a faff but couldn't NKI use the train, its a couple of hours from Brussels to St Pancras, walk to Euston approx 10 minutes, train to Northampton takes just over an hour. Get him a railcard to save some money.
-
Did Becker opt out of the UK?
-
As I was there as well how many of the large crowd do think are Northampton or maybe new to the sport, 500 or so or maybe more?

Witches v Stars May 4th
cowboy cookie returns? replied to Badge's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
This Witches team is certainly performing above my expectations! One defeat at Belle Vue which we knew would happen is pretty impressive. Could be dark horses & I’m still expecting Bangs & Nicholls to get better -
Would have waited till after Sat. Berwick is one of Lamberts best tracks. At reserve he would have done well.
