  1. Today
  2. Enjoyable competetive meeting tonight with some top racing. Heats 7 and 14 very influential for the Comets. The Tigers turned what looked like a 3-3 into a 5-1 in heat 7 and what looked like a certain 1-5 in heat 14 into a 2-4 with a great last turn from Leon Flint although we thought Jye still pipped him but the transponder didn't agree. Well done both teams for some excellent entertainment.
  3. I'm still hear just got back from Glasgow buzzing about another fantastic comets performance at Glasgow poor old worky take the champions elect to a last heat decider, not many teams will do that at Ashfield, and guess what the bonus point is still alive 😁
  4. Is anyone else disgusted at the total silence from the management level and above regarding the dismal display - only Paco had the balls to say something - even when it wasn't really his place to do it (unless he has secretly been made team captain)? 🤐
  5. I really would have thought Hagon would have kicked on this year. Especially as a lot of the reserves are 3rd division standard, but he has flattered to deceive. His average for a No2 is pretty dire.
  6. Yesterday
  7. Just got back home after a fantastic meeting at Glasgow the comets made the tiggers ride hard for the win 😄 some brilliant racing by both sides, not many teams will take Glasgow to a last heat decider at ashfield. The bonus point is on a knife edge UTC
  8. Wasn't today couldn't even beat any of the comets 😄
  9. I agree not getting that 3rd heat leader in the side was crucial, R/R does not work seen it in the last two home matches and only kept in it by the two superstars wright and king riding their nuts off.
  10. PK,DK,JJ and NM would be a good start of Teambuilding for next season.
  11. Great performance tonight, but the failure to make any team changes is going to cost the Bears, they are going to be in the mix for all the trophies, but trying to rely on getting decent quality guests or running with R/R is not going to work!!
  12. Given that Thomsen's only point came from beating Freddie Hodder, he was literally as good as a man short. Leaving the track at the end of heat 10 was the quickest he moved all night.
  13. All kinds of rumours flying around in Greyhound circles about Oxford Stadium, it is a known fact that the MD is currently fighting a serious illness so he may be considering reducing his Stadium portfolio https://greyhoundscene.proboards.com/thread/89396/oxford-rumours-track-close This could have serious implications for Speedway in Oxford who currently field teams in all three divisions.
  14. Jack Smith and Sam Hagon should just jack it in .
  15. Great frontman, Ballroom Blitz was my favourite.
  16. Only a small percentage of crashes result in any kind of serious injury, like I said there's no need to linger on it if it does appear more serious just stay on it for few seconds until it's clear a rider is in trouble or not, they've missed a few argey bargey incidents over the years for cutting away too soon. Thought it was a pretty decent match tonight with some good racing for Armadale, happy to see Simon Lambert get in the points.
  17. I agree but the point Ian made was that they don't even show you it during a race if they can avoid it, even a rider sliding off innocuously they immediately cut away. It's frustrating when the commentator is talking about it but you can't see it, I suppose it's just another example of the nanny state we live in these days. Like everyone else I don't want to see any rider injured but crashes and falls are part & parcel of the sport we love, yet they are removed from our view. edit; there's not many more violent sports than boxing, soon they'll be cutting away when someone gets decked.
  18. He got those points from a wet and heavy track the inexperienced Glasgow riders couldn't get to grips with. The rider we got tonight is the real one, I'm not sure why people are surprised. We would have been better running r/r with Flint taking the ht8 ride.
  19. Think it is wise not too repeat incident and crash until the condition of riders is known out of respect. They show you the incident again in most cases.

  22. Can sort of understand it from TNT, they don't seem to have anyone in their production crew who know much about speedway, so maybe someone has said not to show crashes on replay while riders are down and they've taken it literally that the aftermath of crashes and falls aren't to be shown at all, TNT are useless for speedway. BSN you would have thought know better but, as you say, they cut away every time. Must admit I've had good value out of the subscription to BSN, didn't do it last season as I thought it was too expensive for the full pass but it's not too bad considering it often keeps me in on a Friday night instead of tipping even more money over pub bars. Been some decent meetings in the Championship, glad I took the plunge.
  23. Close but no cigar for scorpions, again to many No scores, need a number 3 to score at least, match the scorpions should of won, lambert scoring at reserve helps ,backed up well, all team (except Harrison) need to ride more, one league not enough
  24. I remember Poland showing the fatal crash with Lee Richardson, not very nice at all
