Didn't Ipswich sign the best RS in 2025?.. Even though they weren't entitled to given the regs?.. Birmingham should have had him, a team so poor, they had to sign a rider who couldn't complete a season just to look "competitive"... Was that "integrity"?... Ipswich last season also had two of the top eight in the averages, which in a league of 42 riders doesn't suggest they did too bad a job in getting a team together... In fact, it was only really Tom Brennan's unusual, uexpected poor season that prevented them from quite possibly being in the final.. And it was no ones fault but Ipswich why they didn't put their team together later than others.. It took several months, which were ultimately lost months... This season is looking like last with relation to the actual names of riders involved, and could actually be much weaker if NDL riders take positions held by Championship Heat Leaders.. Will that mean 2027 is a great season worth winning?..

Need certainty - I presume clubs are aware, but all the publicity has been about 'under 21', and on that basis Luke will not meet the criteria.
-
I’m happy he’s gone for most his time at Poole not once did he ever acknowledge the fans on the way round never looking at them just holding his hand up,allways on his phone straight after meeting never interacting with fans, time for a change.

Should be 21 and Under.

Im sure its about stocks, but a lot of rumours down my way at the moment.

2027 - 8 Team Premiership
Steve Irving replied to CTRSports's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
And again missing (avoiding) the issue nice try though. There is only one title “win” that contains an asterisk and thats the season where one third of the entire league didn’t have the same opportunity as the other two thirds to compete leaving a worthless, meaningless, pathetic excuse of a League campaign lacking all integrity. Typical of the mindset of those from Manchester though. Similar case with the football team, a wins a win no matter how its achieved. -
Most of you left him out of your fantasy Pirates 27 teams.
-
Luke Killeen might be Australian but he's an old boy from Oxford as far as speedway is concerned. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1K6s8k8ScR/

Strange thing to say.

I dont know anyone that did not want him back.

It’s imperative that we have a league where all teams are competitive. Last season wasn’t great once Belle Vue emerged as would be winners mid season but it was a vast improvement on the previous year. In 2025 Ipswich assembled an all conquering team that all had as champions with many saying they would go unbeaten all season and that it was the best top flight team since 1998. The trophy was sorted before a wheel was turned making for an uneventful league campaign. The points difference between top and bottom was a staggering 37 points (compared to the more competitive season after where the difference was only 26). Even the difference between play offs or not was 19 (only 5 in ‘26). Having a team like Birmingham cut adrift when losing a number one to a cheque book club using him as a third heat leader is just so far from seeing the bigger picture that it’s just sad. I remember the Brummies fondly and how we could do with them now in our scaled down league. We need to continue moving in the right direction as we did last year following the rather numb 2025 season. Will they learn, we will see. https://britishspeedway.co.uk/2025-premiership-table-fixtures-results/ https://britishspeedway.co.uk/2026-premiership-table-fixtures-results/ https://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/thread/22584/ipswich-premiership-semi-final-2024

I note the speedway white line has been painted, which is not required for stocks -
Kyle did a fantastic job for Poole in 26 no doubt about that. So the question is basically can he be expected to improve over the next season. I'm thinking his discounted GSA is 4.9. Not clear IMO. I would like to see a strong 1 & 5, Lawson's GSA has to keep as a likely, not so sure on the other rider.

Having raised nearly 30k within a couple of months. Surely an interest free loan for the rest could be repaid easily with a whole year or even more to raise funds. After visiting Plymouth for the KOC final I’m absolutely sure the club and their awesome fans will find the funds required given time.

Glasgow Tigers 2027
Nickinho replied to TheWellBehavedWorrall's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
For some reason or another Tigers fans hate Lee but I think he's a terrific rider and a terrific guy who always put himself about on the track. I'd love to see him return to speedway for a third go at the sport. -
Pirates fans are probably crying after none of them wanted Cairns back. Apparently that's him hit his peak at 17 and it's all downhill from here lol

There is an announcement about Arlington Stadium at 12pm on Wednesday. Could be stocks...

Duty-free loans for items such as foam- or air-fences are available from within the speedway community. It it to Plymouth's credit that they want to raise the funding themselves themselves without going into debt, but if the alternative was to close down ..........
