Agreed, I don't understand some people's obsession with the "second leg at home advantage"? Poole had home leg first in KOC Semi & final & won. Redcar had home leg first in KOC semi & won. Edinburgh had home leg first in KOC against Workington & won. Oxford had home leg first against Scunthorpe in the KOC & won. Poole had home leg first in the P/O semi & won. Surely that's far too many instances to prove there is no "second leg at home advantage"?

That’s my point, has it even got a scheduled date ?

I don't mean this time, rules are in place. I mean for future occurrences, to try for a more satisfactory decision (if they don't want to have a re-staging).

Doesn't matter how many times you repeat yourself, doesn’t make your opinion any more factual. We had the first leg of KOC final alright and first leg of KOC SF ok too. So not sure where this opinion is coming from? Actually having the first legs at home has worked out pretty good so far wouldn't you say?

With 2026 in mind. Clearly Glasgow are going to have to off load at least 2 of their top 5 for next season to get anywhere decent under the 40 point limit (if that stays) this would enable them to get at least one strong reserve. Who can you see depart for 2026?

That might be the case, thought that’s was what they said earlier in the season.Find out soon No doubt.Crowd levels dipped so will maybe have reconsider the finances. -
Anyone know if there is any speedway in the uk next season ? The silence on all fronts is deafening

You could of course have two home, two away, and drop a competition (or maybe two 😱) and then have less disparity in the number of home meetings for each side. Rather than Berwick having 11 and Glasgow/Poole having something like 18, maybe everyone would have closer to 16. That would make a lot more sense. It's not like we get many shock winners of all the cups, sometimes we can't even be bothered to arrange the finals because it seems teams get bored of winning...
-
And it also means fans having to pay out a fair few quid in the same month... Workington suffered from this when they won the treble, with fans not attending each meeting... Having all the finals at the end of the season also gives no time to build crowd momentum on the back of any success, as the season just stops... Advertising yourself as (insert Competition name here), "Champions/Holders" can only spark interest locally in your next home meeting, and onwards through the rest of the season, I would have thought... I think completing the league first then the cups is the way to go, as advertising your self as "The Champions" for as many meetings as possible can only help crowd levels... And it also gives clubs well out of league contention early in the season a chance to still have meaningful matches until the end of the season, rather than "dead rubbers" which have no impact on play off positions...

Speedway 360 podcast
THE DEAN MACHINE replied to THE DEAN MACHINE's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I don’t actually know and I’m not sure he actually knows either, he is just a trouble maker for the sport and particularly cradley it’s a shame as a couple of points he makes about the sport are valid ones but he is just tarnishing his reputation as a rider in a lot of peoples eyes, imo he is best just ignored, I certainly wasn’t going to give him the publicity he craves on the podcast -
Good luck to Redcar in the Final you probably deserve something out of this season to add to the pairs.
