  1. Past hour
  2. I wouldn’t be so sure. Riders careers are short and financial gain kicks in more as riders mature. We all know The Aces have no chance of outbidding the witches if push came to shove and tapping up riders before the season has even gone cold is a well known trait of theirs. The patchwork nature of their teams, culled from the declarations over the years could easily see them poaching another Brit currently sitting second in his teams averages. Dan’s due a testimonial next season with us (should have been this season but for his ban in ‘22) so you’d hope he’d remained an Ace for that reason but money talks. Maybe if The Aces ever get a chance of clinching the play off cup in front of a home crowd, then we could finally present a podium to be proud of though I have to thank Sheffield & Leicester for giving us a fine podium to celebrate our achievements recently.
  3. The podium was British Speedways, it would have been at any track for the final. Also he said one of the better meetings hes watched, not the best meeting for ages. Regardless it isn't a crime to say you enjoyed watching a meeting, especially when you ride for a team who's track is regarded by most as the best in the world. As I said why would Belle Vue care that Dan enjoyed the meeting, im a Belle Vue fan and I enjoyed the meeting🤣
  4. Leszno, Częstochowa and Stal to be fighting for relegation and Wroclaw vs Torun for the title. Lublin is very much a weakened team and if Vaculik has the season he had at Stal that’s a big problem, could find themselves fighting just to be in the play offs. I know due to the money situation Stal have decided to go young and try to build a team who will be stronger in a few years, their financial plan is a long term loan to pay back 1 million over 10 years, so this young team will be close to the team year in, year out for a few years. To reduce overheads and to be fair, you may find a few more clubs having internal audits and having issues, it was spoken a few years back that the riders financial demands is exceeding the financial profit of some teams. You only have to see that the night Doyle scored 20 points and made near on 200,000 zloty for Częstochowa, it was a bad night, it was away from home in Wroclaw so they didn’t even get any gate money that night!
  5. Glasgow's recent inaction and the weakness of their reserves would comcern me a bit as a Tigers fan, Poole have a fair bit of momentum at the moment and know how to get the job done at the business end of the season. Glasgow will need to keep things tight in the away leg to have any chance.
  6. I was thinking more that the quotes of the best speedway podium ever & best meeting he has seen for ages.
  7. Poole fans talk absolute tripe It’s not about who finished where in the league it’s how teams get on against each other Ipswich struggle against Kings Lynn at Foxhall because their riders go well there and in comparison Belle Vue who are a better side than Lynn according to league position can’t ride Foxhall for toffee and get thumped there Poole have won at Glasgow and only lost by 8 as well this season At Poole , Glasgow have lost by 14 and 24 Poole should win comfortably over 2 legs final league position has nothing to do with it , its about how certain teams go at certain tracks
  8. Not so sure on that tbh, A lot of compliments for a track that he's rarely done well on imo. Seems to me like Dan is basically letting the management know that he's keen on riding for Ipswich. If the team building rules stay the same and if it's 2 leagues in 2026 then Doyle is on a average under 8.00 so Ipswich will have room for a rider on Bewley's average if Emil does depart. That's a lot of if's though.
  9. Today
  10. Why would Belle Vue care that Dan has gone to watch a meeting. Dan won't be going anywhere but Belle Vue next season
  11. Well done Luke. British Under 19s Champion
  12. Zielona Gora imo, Think it's a side that's got potential to be a big spoiler in 2026, Kubera & Madsen is a strong spearhead and Lebedevs is a rider who gets better with every year imo. Think Grudziadz have the potential to take a step back in 2026, Did Drabik and MJJ just have freak seasons in 2025 where they both rode above their level? Leszno are relying heavily on Parnitskyi imo, Outside of Nazar the team isn't much to shout about imo, It's basically most of the team that got relegated during their last stint in the Ekstraliga.
  13. Well two weeks ago I wouldn't hesitate in making Glasgow favourites, but the recent run of Redcar matches has been good for Poole building confidence and giving them momentum. Sure Nagel and Thompson etc are a potential threat, but their performances also depend on how Poole let them ride. Should be a great contest, hoping for a good result at Wimborne Road, a plus 12 lead would be a real result for Poole.
  14. Top end clubs more evenly spread granted but for a league that's branded BITW you really shouldn't be seeing team line-ups like the ones Czestochowa and Gorzow are putting out. British Speedway is declining but Poland is going the exact same way as of late with various clubs hitting financial issues and needing handouts just to take to the track. Shame because it's the sport in the world, Hopefully the Sport can thrive again in the near future.
  15. It's interesting that those who run Speedway as a "stand alone" business seem to do quite well each season... Generally much better than those who run it as an expensive hobby, or get it subsidised by stock cars... Maybe when it is your day to day income stream it focuses the mind more? A few more like Chris Louis and the sport would be in much better shape...
  16. The 64,000 dollar question is will Shovvy have recovered from the Corona and be in attendance! If so make sure he is carrying a negative test on him and wearing a mask!
  17. They need to get a bit WWE.... Tai shouting into the camera, "Arm gonna fence the ass off you Zmarzlik!"... Doyley telling Madsen "Yer gonna wish you hadn't qualified, bacon head!".. Dan screaming to Jack Holder, "With all due respect Jack, I hope we have a really good meeting and some great races against each other, and may the best man win'.. Well, maybe not the last one... Etc. Etc. Etc.
  18. It’s an improvement on Ipsh!t which people comment often 😂
  19. Hopefully, if Dan Bewley does ride for Ipswich next year, he'll have learned to spell it correctly.😃
  20. Agreed, and a 2nd division season average of 4.8 hardly qualifies you to be a "super dane" haha
  21. Flog the promotion to some new fool seems to be the usual answer.
  22. I'm not saying he's going to single handedly revive the SGP series, but it's currently at its lowest ever ebb and there's not a single rider in the series they can hang their promotional hat on... Dan Bewley, as good as he is, is all a bit nicey nicey when interviewed, Robert Lambert a bit boring and neither have an individual World Championship to their name... and you can forget the rest although Jack Holder does seem to have something about him. There's only 3 World Champions in the 2026 series and 2 of them are wild cards and the other one can't speak English... I mean what do you do with that as a promoter?
  23. Torun would deffo not have a say on whether he rides or not, any rider can choose any league they want, it’s purely down to Emil and how it’s a lot easier to get to Scandinavia from Poland than it is to fly to UK or if he can get another visa.
