Any day now..... That "Wow" announcement that Rob Godfrey mentioned will be made public... Probably waiting for Wimbledon, the World Cup, and the Tour De France to finish so it doesn't impact the amount of publicity it will attract...

I'm sure Northampton would love to find a top heat leader somewhere but even someone who can consistently chip in with 5 or 6 instead of Batchelor would turn some of these near misses into wins.

And what happened to Speedway Futures?

Doesn't help any bandit fans planning to travel or already booked flights trains hotels, especially as the weather forecast is good for travelling fans

No, no equivalent. I also don't think the Ben Fund is just for British riders, so what you say is true in terms of independent financial support to riders.

Dry slick tracks suit some more than others and no surprise that Musielak did well given his Polish experience, certainly made the meeting a little more entertaining. Not sure what's going on with Lawson but I don't think the Ipswich management will be too impressed but if he was genuinely ill then that can't be helped. Will King be back on Thursday and if so, then R/R could be used for him if he's still ill?? -

There does always seem to be dozens of "lurkers" daily... Ironically, and suitably, a good many of them are "Guests"... -
And the nonsense of the pre season will not have helped.. I truly have never seen any business or entity commit so much Harikiri on itself as Speedway in the UK has done, particularly over the past 20 years as the digital age has boomed.. Year after year they have made poor decisions which have just compounded the poor decisions from the previous years... Normally a business would fix its issues, even more so when they are so glaring and obvious, and their customers either tell them publicly, or tell them by no longer attending, but still closely following the sport.. I truly would love to know what the promoters vision for the sport is, and where they aspire to take it... As all it currently looks like is this... "Make it to the end of this season, do exactly the same thing next, then rinse and repeat ad infinitum"...

Championship Predictions 2026
Gambo95 replied to Paddy The Rebel's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I don't see a problem either but it doesn't help when teams are offered dates and don't take these dates (was mentioned that the rained off teams were offered other date during Berwick's 6 week break). It also seems strange the Ben fund, GP qualifier, Speedway GP, British Final, Championship pairs, Riders individual final are all on a Saturday). -

If they get on with it and there are touchwood no holdups meeting could be finished by 8-45pm.

and we have one rugby team play in Scotland and another play in England. Confusing lol
-
Think Plymouth should call it off and give Berwick the match points.π

IMO that's not a reason, I attended the 2 days of the GP paid 2 nites in a city centre hotel and still attended Workington meetings either side. Just saying π

Northumberland is in England thank god

Foxhall crowds are down too. Combination of having a poor team this year and losing the two popular heatleaders, and the new streaming service will tempt some to save a tenna and watch at home instead.

Musielak is a joy to watch when heβs on it like this. Box office
