  1. Past hour
  2. We never departed the stadium until 9.45pm, give us a chance.
  3. It's an interesting interview with JD, he's always been an honest guy. So has basically just told it how it is. Might get missed but he said that the club is in no danger at this present time, but I can totally see why it wouldn't be sustainable long term to run next season and beyond. I heard an averaged figure that the club is losing per meeting and although not ideal is probably pitance compared to what loss Sheffield and some Premiership clubs are running at. IMO it is more a problem with certain factors out of our hands. The UK cost of living, rising costs of running a meeting and compounded by the British Speedway logic as a whole, when I look around the Arena the crowd levels don't strike me as that bad, the number of sponsorship boards is remarkable, crowd levels are probably what I would expect given what we are and where we are, and the fact we don't live in a pre-90's (pre-digital) age anymore, which is often forgotten on here. Big changes are needed, and promotors like Mark Lemon need to get their head out of their arses and stop believing that a Premiership model with GP riders is sustainable for the good of British Speedway, and think of the bigger picture for every speedway club to survive, that in itself does more damage than anything I believe, it is proven time and time again that the 2nd tier racing is the most competitive and exciting league IMO. 5 man teams would be a must for me for starters, and for the Comets it's amazing how much of a diference the crowd is when we face Glasgow, Redcar, Edinburgh etc. so more localised speedway would help. Fans still seem to travel in numbers to away meetings from what i've seen, and Comets fans certainely repay the favour, there was loads that travelled to Redcar recently for example.
  4. Took longer than I thought before we had a weej pontificating about entertaining racing and track prep. Was panicking they might have changed.
  5. Chucking away wins like confetti currently. That result is down to Castanga in ht14 I’m afraid. Soft as sh*t. He’s in at no.4 specifically for that heat and goes out and does that. Poor
  6. Just saying a certain forum poster said he scored poorly on Tuesday. Could be your new signing as Greg Hancock is his mentor
  7. No a full time speedway fan šŸ˜€ you just go round in circles down there 😜
  8. Normally 7pm parade & practice with first race 7.30pm. First leg has already taken place. 10th May Kent 52 Mildenhall 38
  9. Cluff highlights how poor our bottom three are when the track isn't slick. The Hausl signing really hasn't paid off. Hopefully for the return we have a signing with a bit about him, we can't cope with many more guests.
  10. I take it with the news breaking today, you will be a full time pilots fan next season šŸ˜
  11. Sincere thanks to Michele in ht14 for the get out voucher. We couldn't have done it without him. With hindsight hopefully we never prepare a track like that again. The first 10 heats were awful, whoever gated won. Standard fare for the visitors but not the more discerning. Embarrassing to have captains walking the track after 4 heats to sort it out.
  12. Batchelor has aggrevated an years old left knee torn ligament injury riding the last few weeks at Northampton. Ultimately it's flared up over the last few weeks riding on a rough surface. Comets team boss has confirmed that is the case in a local interview, this weekend is due to be the first meetings he's ever missed in 3 seasons riding for the Comets.
  13. Scudded by a guest and calamity Brown again. Difficult enough riding against a decent team but when your number 1 gets outscored by a reserve and the team manager is absolutely clueless it impossible
  14. Today
  15. If people wont go and i dont blame them because the product is sh*t, then more tracks will close, but all we hear is "crap speedway is better than no speedway at all" it isnt though is it? its just prolonging the agony.
  16. What happened to VP? Last season everyone said his poor second half was down to the illness he picked up, but what excuse is there now? He was a disastrous signing based on the average he came in on, and unfortunately he’s continued to be a disaster this season as well. Another Berwick season is slowly but surely slipping away, it’s all too familiar the same failings.
  17. Just watching Ostrów v Rzeszów (heat 7 just completed). Where did it all go wrong for Gleb Chugunov, looked like the hottest prospect in Speedway at one point. And why Holder so rubbish, his scores are OK for Sheffield.
  18. He’s riding in Sweden every week though.Very inconsistent there too.Difficult to find replacements these days.
  19. Yeah maybe. Taking into account Jenkins and his replacement Lamberts scoring this season Redcar have been riding a man down all season!
  20. Snatched defeat from the jaws of victory there. VP started out well this season but he is unfortunately costing us now. If there’s any ambition beyond what has already been achieved I agree, time for a change. Biggest problem could be where do you magic up a third heat leader from? I will add Victor is brilliant with the fans. Especially the youngsters and he is a good rider, I don’t think the massive gap in the fixtures did him any favours though.
  21. It’s time VP was shown the door.IMO
