The only negative tonight is Ben barkers injury and hopefully it’s not serious but if it is it’ll be interesting to see if the may make two changes. I don’t know off the top of my head if there is someone on a 7.57 that can replace Bens points at home. I’m not sure how far Riss would be away but he could be a straight swap. However you could possibly make 2 changes with barker and Spencer and that could cover the points. Would have 9.57 to cover for two riders.

Workington v Oxford 13/06/26 3pm Championship.

R/R worked out again ending with 10+1. Batchelor seemed to have more speed this week while his gating remains elite as ever, whereas Jeppesen seemed to struggle out the starts Max Perry impressive again, really good signing for us. Found something surprising looking at the stats seems like Batchelor has rode in every Comets meeting since the relaunch in 2024, 61 meetings in a row. Unless I'm mistaken, can't be many riders in British Speedway on that kind of streak for one club? (Lawson, Harris maybe??) Probably used to happen all the time years ago, but not so much in modern times. -

Urm track looked good i have to say cant have been optimal to prepare with the weather. Oxford took a few races to get dialled in but it was a good contest. Masters was in a class of his own (bar bike issues) and Eddie Kennett rode really well i thought. Always enjoy watching Zischke, bit slow to begin with but finished strongly as per. Max Perry impressed. Not sure what is going on with Jeppesen? bikes look slow out the start? Left for dead in Heat 6 and 13. Batchelor did him a favour in 15 and Masters i reckon with another lap would have had him. Mcdiarmid being excluded was comical viewing. Brannan's comical explanation that he was tired was well comical. Good meeting but i will turn off the volume next time, fed up of the bullcrap propaganda. -

That meeting was British speedway alive and kicking. this site is very negative and Plymouth being its own micro climate and living in its own bubble is working. This meeting was superb, great racing, drama, last heat deciders. The fans from Redcar travel superbly and handshakes with gladiator fans at the end as well. incredible attendance I wouldn’t be surprised if that could be a new record for the colosseum. as I say I’m sure this site will be negative about something and ultimately it’ll help towards the demise of British speedway but Plymouth are bucking the trend and really getting good crowds and promoting speedway properly ! Plymouth is on the up and nothing less than mark deserves from all he has put in.

Be careful who you mention attending a NORA meeting to or you'll be barred from attending Ipswich by the BSPL! 😂

Well done to Bandits, hung in for the win when it looked unlikely. Bike issues or Morris seemed to be his problems.LF and VP were poor.JJ was brilliant and we need to sign him up full time and rejig the Team.Excellent Meeting, Tigers had a little misfortune when Bomber had to borrow a bike for Ht15( given the way he had been riding his own ).very healthy crowd IMO. Tigers will struggle away from home with the present bottom end of the Team IMO.

Need more water on the track and soaked before it starts as wind was just drying it up straight away.Never seen any dust at the Grand Prix in Manchester -
Vinnie is good entertainment, showed true grit and I wish him all the very best. But imo didn't offer good value at the time Poole let him go, even though many fans thought otherwise.

Yes a little bit of dust, but with the wind direction was plenty of areas you could keep dust free, was surprised a little dust was present, as it was very wet on Thursday in Workington -

Did not think it was a great meeting today. They need to do something about the dust as I come to watch speedway not to see dust so I can not see the riders is poor,Eyes are sore and so is my chest and not a good advert. -
Also Vinnie now in the team at the difficult No 2 position

Yeah. Thats the plan. Im starting to think dan may return for the british final. Which coincidentally coincides with 2 28 day contracts

Glasgow started the meeting well after 5 heats thought they were going to run away with it, but credit to the Bandits they never gave up (well most of them )😂and a TS at the right time and some shrewd changes by the TM it all came good thinking there will be a couple of them feeling under pressure after that showing by JJ, sublime by PK got blocked by his teammate on bend one of heat one , for Glasgow,Bomber and Flinty get pass marks from me,more of the same next weekend please

As regards Vinnie Foord, he was injured early in the season and was out for a while, it will take a bit to catch up the riders who have been racing all season and get up to speed.
-
I was disappointed when it was announced we had Kerr in the team. He was next to dreadful last season. Just generally poor with added bike issues on top. And so many duff rides where a reserve would get in front of him and he couldn’t get past. However I will eat humble pie as he has been much much better so far this season and done a good job. I hope he keeps it up.

Looking at tonight's results made me think two things:- * I hope Plymouth stick with Tom Spencer, * Glad Poole dropped Rowe and kept Kerr, Plus congratulations Workington good to get some points on the board, note Vinnie's not exactly pulling up stumps, so many people posting to keep him at Poole as I remember?!*:?
