I guess Flint Harris Thompson Rowe was all too good to turn down, but that’s no good if you have 2 reserves who won’t score points, obviously Poole have gotten away with Having Cairns then Rushen on a 2 to start the season, but with young Southwick already at Redcarr, is there another 2 pointer who’s almost guaranteed to hold their ave if not up it? -
99% sure Luke Harrison is in the team, Castange might be the surprise.. Kennet at reserve and unfortunate if Kyle misses out, but you’re left with 7 riders who should all put at least one point on their ave with the exception of Will who you’d settle with 0.5 of a point. Either way, like Danny said, it’s a team that wouldn’t start necessarily as favourites due to the big names at other teams, but it’s 7 riders who should all pick up points all over the place, and 2 strong riders at reserve no matter who’s there. My only concern is that every Poole (since moving down) team has consisted with huge fire power at 1 and 5, so this is a change of style despite the top end power working. That said with no 2 point bargains like Cooper and Will have been in the last 2 years it was always going to be hard to copy

How much is the cost? -

As it stands the league will be watered down given some of the more capable ex RS's will not get places in the top tier and some NDL level lads will be coming in... They desperately need some decent U21 riders from overseas as twelve GB U21's will mean a huge disparity in capability each meeting, from No1's to No 6's and 7's...

So if the jungle drums are right and Doyle and Bewley both end up as Ipswich’s number 1 and 5, who is going to come in at Belle Vue as number 5 to be backing up Brady Kurtz? What about Josh Pickering moving over the hill from Sheffield? Would fit Mark Lemon’s MO as an Aussie rider and could see him easily coming to grips with NSS as a home track
-
Nope.
-
Just had a listen. So, it’s Doyle plus ‘one of the top six in the world’. Does that definition encompass Bewley? I suppose it does if you look at it over two years but, on a narrower definition it covers Lambert, Zmarzlik, Jepsen Jensen, Dudek and Madsen. I haven’t included Kurtz as I can’t believe that he will be anywhere other than Belle Vue. King will be back and Hurry remains as the Team Manager.

Don't think the NDL averages convert to championship, if you have no average you are a 2 pointer many other riders will have a previous championship average so that is used, think you can't drop to NDL if you have a championship average over 4.50 or 5 -

The team this year will probably be top heavy, HARRIS ,FLINT,DAN THOMPSON ,ROWE A 4 pointer at 2, 2 Reserves on 4.00/2.00 or 2 on roughly 3.00 each Pedersen,Hodder and Hagon wont be back IMO Does anyone know how the NDL Averages convert in Championship ?? -

The only reason I can imagine for their reticence is that so much of the decisions they make, subsequently, and usually quickly, get highlighted as unfit for purpose, or better solutions get put forward, when they get scrutinised by the wider public... Within minutes, on here, usually someone states chapter and verse on why a decision made contravenes certain rules and regs, eg several times announced guest riders get changed due to not being eligible after it getting challenged on here.. ... You also have the caveat of "in the interest of Speedway" to add in as and when needed, which quite frankly is an embarrassment in a so called professional sport isn't it?.. I can't think of any other pro sport where "as we haven't made rules and regs fit for purpose in this instance, we'll just make something up" is allowed, and, fundamentally part of an operating model... It can't be too difficult to put out a database of riders, wishing to ride over here, with their averages can it?. Or maybe that would open a huge can of worms!!! Edit: You would really have thought something all sorted by last July would have been made public by now though wouldn't you?.......

I don't think Edinburgh will have a strong 2nd heat leader, so more likely to want a stronger reserve than Cluff for strength in depth.
