Hopefully there'll be a reasonable chance of getting tickets for those choosing not to pay for packaged trips like this. I don't think the capacity is huge and, understandably, Aussies will no doubt be keen to watch a GP on home soil.

What is most disappointing from my POV is that he's immediately invited back into the sport, when any self respecting employer would , knowing Garrity's history give the guy a very wide berth.

They held 2 GP qualifiers plus World under 21 final 2013 which had Zmarlik plus several other top World riders now

No because I don't live in the north of the country !! The post was from my personal point of view. I live 2 miles from the M1, so yes it is all motorway and dual carriageway for me. I do that journey for stock cars at Foxhall so yes it's a 3 hour run. The only poor roads between Manchester and Ipswich are the ones I would have to drive on to get to the NSS. Personally, I don't care about the bars, restaurants and hotels. I will stop at a nice cafe I know on the way down and come home the same night. Works for me.

If Ipswich bring Laguta back to British Speedway, I will get a Witches tattoo on my arm.

Who said about him needing to move to England to ride in British speedway? They have things called planes which everyone else uses to get from country to country without moving home.

The Polish media can be pretty unreliable (just like here and everywhere I suppose!) but there was a Polish article a few weeks back naming both Zmarzlik and Lambert amongst others who will be ditching Sweden next year out of protest over tyres. No idea if there’s even a grain of truth in that but something to keep an eye on perhaps.

I see he is out of jail again, & once more he is back on track. I suspect it won't be long before he is back inside though.

Did Shielfield host a GP Challenge? Only returned to the sport in recent times, so wasn’t aware.

Just saw that. Gutted, to be honest. A huge scalp for the Bandits, retaining him. Given his performance on Friday night, Rowe might be in the mix. Not sold on that though. Great on Friday night and a Pairs champion, but remember how poor he was at Ashfield for Oxford and in the play-off final last season. Had a look at his scores throughout this season and he’s been okay; nothing special. I wouldn’t be against a big, statement signing, like a Masters or even a Pickering. Creates a challenge with the points limit, but our key riders felt short when it mattered this season; a statement signing addresses that.

I agree there have been worse signings (Ivacic, for example) and I agree he’s not the solely responsible for our collapse, but let’s not beat around the bush; he has been woeful. I wouldn’t include Howarth in the list of issues though. From what I understand, he’s face some difficulties in his personal life. No finger pointing here.

Attendances at Berwick this season have generally been up on last season and decent IMO.There is certainly a good atmosphere during the meetings.Great to see.

Ipswich need to be commended for getting this as we at Belle Vue know only too well the hoops you need to jump through and concessions that need to be made. Also negotiations at this level aren’t easy so it’s fair play to the Ipswich promotion for getting the GP circus on board. No mean feat.

Well done Bandits. What a performance. Kildemand and Morris were outstanding, as was Battye. The latter two returning next season is massive for Berwick. If they recruit wisely, they could make a serious title challenge next season. Gutted for the travelling Plymouth fans. Several Gladiators should be embarrassed by their performance. Scunny are going to have to put in an exceptional home performance and then put their gating gloves on in the second leg and defend to stand any chance, cant see that.

Dan as had 2 bad smashes in his career involving his legs, would imagine both could have potentially halted his career. So he comes back for the last 2 GPS.....where racing is at the very top level, probably just to test his level of fitness, plus get his mind-set focused onto what speed is needed. Good stepping stones, he used good judgement. I'm pretty certain last thing on his mind was to win a GP this year in these 2 meetings. I reckon he will be well pleaded getting a LCQ spot. Next year, if Dan wants to be world champ, what he has to do is what Lambert has done this year.....grab the challenge and take his skills to a higher level. Robert did some very daring moves in these last half dozen GPs....very similar to what Zmarzlik has been doing over his winnings career. That's where Dan has to go, into opportunities and open them up. Puts the wind up me just thinking how brave these top level riders are, but I'm not the one who wants to be world champ, and only one of them per year can be. I hope Dan does it.
