Peter Karlsson although there may be someone in NL that is closer to an OAP.

Ricky Anderson Berwick junior.

Could to see the sport's youth policy is still active. For all that - well done Ricky Anderson. Keep at it man.

He's actually a Newcastle novice, who only started riding 5 years ago in my Training sessions at Newcastle at the age of 47. Keen as mustard and occasionally mech's for other riders.

According to http://scbgb.co.uk/p...- printable.pdf the oldest registered rider is Brian Cooper (DOB 12/01/1934).

Kevin Keay (DOB 25/12/60) is still doing NJL. Anderson's DOB is 27/9/62.

Yes, and no doubt Kevin will be riding at Redcar tomorrow when I will be there for their training session.

Not sure on the ages, but must be getting on a bit.Kevin Teager for instance rode for Ipswich,Scunthorpe etc back in the 80s,is still racing grasstrack.Think a few of the old guys still do.That would qualify for me more than an old guy who never really rode at any decent level. No disrespect meant to anyone though

It's a shame that Buzz Burrows isn't still riding for a league team. Not only would he be the oldest rider, but also the most naturally talented rider competing in any league in the world.

All the best
