Lambert - proving why he is our best hope since Woffy. Total class.

Lakeside were dreadful.

Did Nigel really say Kennett was in form?? Totally awful.

What Nigel said at the start of his first ride "On his day he can be world class".

Which day was that then ?.

World Class Kennett ? All I can think is the term World Class is very much over used. World Class to me, capable of mixing it at Grand Prix level. Saddlebow has never been a favourite track of Kennetts. I really think he has found his level in the Premier League.

The reason sky wax lyrical about buster is because he can get meetings on with a reasonably safe track no matter what the conditions. We had sudden down pours here yesterday all day and even a hailstorm about 30 minutes before it went live on tv. It saves sky a lot of money to be able to get these meetings on.

With the wind we had yesterday and heavy down pours all day I doubt hardly any other track would have got a surface like that where riders were happy to ride. I also bet hardly any others would have been bothered to put in the work that went on all day yesterday to get the meeting on.

It's like some of you would prefer to have no speedway what so ever so you can look back with rose tinted spectacles of how it was good in the old days.

Frankly it wasn't worth the effort the track was complete pants, if that's the very best anyone can do following the weather we have had in recent days then no I don't think its worth showing on sky.

That was hardly exciting cut and thrust speedway was it, it did the sport no favours whatsoever and the fact that one team couldn't be bothered didn't help either.

One genuine overtake by Schlein in 15 heats other than caused by mistakes on a tricky first/second bend says it all, it's hardly going to entice people to watch it live and surely that's the aim.

A bit similar to the "performance" as a replacement for Olly Allen which cost Somerset the Play Offs last season. Only headed Sedgy all night.

The second turn looked like there was a hole or summit a few got court out

Probably a 'Norbold's Hole', they're the worst kind.

If it's prepared better than anywhere in the country, why do we see, time after time such poor meetings and racing there each time sky visits?

Gone are the days when "good preparation", meant lots of dirt on the track. The bikes have changed, the riders have changed and the prep has to change accordingly.

Regarding the track, I'd rather listen to the opinions of riders as opposed to a load of keyboard warriors with agendas. They all seem to enjoy riding it which is good enough for me.

Just happy that the meeting was on, which after the crazy weather we had yesterday was no mean feat.

Racing was 'poor' last night as only one team turned up.

the track was fine, it was good for early season and 70mph winds, it was an ill conceived match to show with a putrid away team ( eastbournesque) that never do owt when its a fast racing strip.

its about time these technical awkward tracks like lakeside thought more about away form that packing the side full of homers tbh.

AJ, Bech, Lawson, Birks, Ellis are all better on bigger tracks. They was just pathetic last night

I think Lakeside will do what they've done in recent seasons - win pretty much everything at home early season and not perform that well away. They will lead or be in the top 4 of the EL for the bulk of the season and then end up outside the play-offs, when it matters most.

KL to win tonight 54-36 - subject to the weather/conditions!

Well, not too far wrong!

I'm quite surprised that we've been written off for getting results away already. I don't think our team is particularly strong on paper, but as I've pointed out a number of times (along with other Lakeside fans) this team has been built to perform better away than previous seasons.

Just out of curiosity, which of our riders do you think won't ride well away from home? I would say the only one that has been a home track specialist in particular for us in the past is Kim Nilsson, and I wouldn't be surprised if this is the year that he starts to score more away judging by his first 2 home meetings.

We've taken some chances this year, but if they pay off I think we could do much better than everyone expects this season. I think a number of our riders have the potential to increase their averages. Having said that, your prediction for us is exactly what we've done in recent years, so we might just do it again! :P

'nuff said!!

And I'm not saying anything about the track.

PS. I expect Kennett, Nilsson and Bech to do much better next Wednesday!!

Reading some of these adverse comments about the track, is hilarious. SCB really does have a problem.

1 rider comes off all night and the track is deemed as rubbish. There are far better qualified people than I who say the track is the best, and I believe their words over those of the so-called experts on here. Fair enough, the meeting last night was processional, but don't blame that just on the track, The weather was terrible, the wind played it's part, and Lakeside were not interested. I've been to many away meetings and seen some really crap tracks. 3 yrs ago we were at Wolves when 11 races had people fall off, Coventry was held up for over an hour with a hole on the first corner, Poole having more holes and bumps than a scramble track, so please don't label our track that bad.

The big differences these days than before, is the quality of the riders and the fastness of the bikes. A good track need to be smooth and consistent, and one the riders have enough confidence to race on. Lynn track has that every time...

Also, as someone who has been critical of Lambert in the past, it was really pleasing to see him ride so well last night achieving a 6 ride paid max. Well done that man....

And to do it on such a CRAP track..................... Brilliant......

Lets dissect this one.

Have a problem? Well yes, its you. See your signature. It's a pathetic dig. But time and time again we see a dodgy Lynn track on Sky and you defending. Quelle surprise here you are again.

It was more than "one rider comes off" - the track was poor. How many times in 15 heats did we actually see a rider pass enough because he was better? You admit yourself on this occasion it was, "processional". What?! So was it good ro bad? You have a go at me for saying it's bad then describe it as "processional" - thats out of the starman book of "disproving your own argument". Now despite the meeting being "processional" we saw half a dozen passes because riders were making mistakes, EL riders making mistakes, Jonsson, Bech and Nilsson - all capable riders, all SWC riders for proper speedway Nations so World Class riders all making mistakes and letting Lynn riders through.

Woah, don't turn this on other tracks. Other tracks don't have someone like you who constantly comes on here and in the face of a crap meetings tells us the track is brilliant. Doesn't have the team captain tell us no Sky before a meeting how great the track is before producing that dirge. You're right, there are plenty of other crap tracks but we all know that. We don't keep on about how great and wonderful they are.

Frankly, I don't care how many holes and track does or doesn't have. How much shale. How much water. The weather. The trackmans inside leg measurement. I base a good track on one where there is passing because the passing rider has sued his skill to pass the rider in front of him. It's a long time since I've seen that from a meeting at Kings Lynn. It's got to the point a meeting from Kings Lynn on Sky now makes me think, "meh, so what" rather than the "brilliant I thought years ago. But many people have been critical of Poole and Coventry many times over. It's know they both have serious issues, we don't come on here defending the indefensible.

Lynn was NOT "smooth and consistent" yesterday. LMAO. If you're going to post lies like that then there is little point in conversing. Did you see how the top class riders were struggling with bend 2?

As for the last line. The track was the same for everyone but to Lambert credit he is the one rider who never once looked like he was struggling with it. He just carried on as normal, very impressive.
