waytogo28 2,054 Posted May 7, 2019 By the time this new" much better for modern bikes" track settles down, the whole site will be built over. April 2021 - a building site. Get on with finding a new site ASAP.
Vince 9,458 Posted May 7, 2019 I thought for a newly laid section of track it held up brilliantly, at least as good as many tracks we see which have been 'settled' for years.

I didn't even question the problem .just said .go forth and multiply but in not so many words , having been put firmly in their place ,we have heard no more complaints from them . start pandering to moaners at your peril .
Midland Red 2,383 Posted July 4, 2019 Isn't this one of the developments close to the stadium? https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7213307/Swindon-homeowner-claims-400-faults-Linden-Homes-property.html
martinmauger 584 Posted July 5, 2019 New houses popping up all over Hull including some being built on a former flood plain, which is well below the majority of the area with 2 storm drains filled in, and the foundations are already 2ft underwater. I certainly wouldn't buy one of those houses, just sayin'....

Triple.H. 1,986 Posted July 5, 2019 No doubt someone in authority will claim the vibration caused by speedway bikes and dogs running has caused all the problems 2

A ORLOV 8,628 Posted August 29, 2019 (edited) I see that a new set of plans have been submitted in July. The stands and pits are shown on the north side of the stadium between the track and Lady Lane. https://pa1.swindon.gov.uk/publicaccess/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=documents&keyVal=P23E0APTKAM00 Edited August 29, 2019 by A ORLOV

hagonshocker 1,956 Posted August 29, 2019 To be honest there doesn't appear to be too much objection locally seems to to be a Somerset anti greyhound group .apparently new stands are going in at the end of this season

They all go on to say they support the redevelopment for speedway purposes, but we know it's housing/greyhound stadium owner money funding the changes if they ever materialise
