Kings Lynn 2022

Recommended Posts

The changes are now irrelevant. King's Lynn had to take the 3/4 points last night. Had Pickering & Jorgensen delivered their minimum, the 3 points would / should have been taken.

We're now going to make changes just to try & not finish last, absolute jokes this management team.

Imo, this Wolverhampton team is worse than ours but it looks like we just can be a$$'d to perform as a team, that comes from the management first & foremost.

Don't necessarily agree with that, I think their hands have been tied by foreign commitments for those coming in, no point in using anyone over here already as it wouldn't be an improvement. The mistake was keeping both Kerr and Jorgensen in the team for this year and going with Kildemand when he is only ever one ride away from breaking bones. Changes now won't secure 4th but will keep people interested (ie no R/R or guests) and lay some foundations for 2023.

Don't disagree with that either. The fact remains that the changes now are irrelevant as we had to win last night. Wolverhampton were the only team we could take out the top 4. That 6 point swing was huge. All we're racing for now is to not finish bottom.

So, in a way, fair play to Buster for adding to the wage bill.

"He" will finish bottom and second bottom regardless...

With only the last 10 meetings counting for rolling averages by the time 2023 comes round I can see why Klindt would see this as an attractive little contract to adjust his currently inflated figure........

Finishing 5th 20years ago would have represented a decent season finishing 5th now in a 6 teams league represents a poor season- changes all 3 league  structure is definitely needed for next season not sure what or how but something has to happen .

Not sure much can be done given riders will be used to the money that two jobs bring, and Div 2 promoters wouldnt want to reduce their offer..

And. Lets be honest, it wont make much (any?) difference with regards to any of the league's kudos or status, given the operating model of sharing riders adhoc on a daily basis will always be in situ..

You can have 100 riders for 6 teams but they will still borrow and share the HL's around each evening when one is missing so will always therefore devalue the competitions...

Therefore you might as well just keep things the way they are and let the riders earn as much as they can, which is ultimately the main benefit the sport delivers by being ran in the UK..

And of course. Bomber turning up here and there is never a bad thing when you are after a value for money night out at the Speedway..

Totally agree that keeping Kerr and Jorgensen this season was a mistake. Jorgensen hasn't improved or become a better rider whilst at Lynn when the league gets weaker year on year. Has the odd purple patch but away form has always been questionable. Kerr imo has never been any good in the main body of the team and looks like he's now on a downward spiral. Surely his days are numbered, or should be.

Whether it's too late or not, changes will at least give some optimism and enthusiasm back for the remaining matches. Are we already building for next season???

How many more seasons do we have to suffer!!
