Both Cook's are riding out of position and Ablitt would be non existent at reserve every week and it's relying too heavily on Kemp to keep the reserve battle close. Build a more solid 1-7 that's plays to the riders strengths. Ablitt hasn't even found his feel at NDL level yet. Using GBSpeedway.com for in depth performance stats for each rider and it doesn't make for good reading when it comes to the Cook's riding in the 1-5 on the road. Z. Cook's stats on the road in the 1-5 1st places = 2 2nd places = 4 3rd places = 16 4th places = 11 B. Cook's stats on the road in the 1-5 1st places = 1 2nd places = 5 3rd places = 6 4th places = 10 The side posted on this page is just so unbalanced with riders being asked to a job out of position. About on par with Jason Edwards, but a couple of years in hand. We might have had a good team in a few years with those 2 and Brennen as the core. HGould 2,213 Posted December 7, 2021 In the short term midweek and weekday Clubs in CL will become more attractive to young British riders like Kemp, Brennan and many others as they'll be able to earn 5 to 10x more potentially in Poland in time via their U24 league and 2nd and 3rd tier Clubs. UK just can't compete with what's on offer there not just pay but practice and overall professionalism of Club set ups. If you imagine PL football in England and top level football in Poland reversed.. You won't be far off. BSPL and Clubs need to wake up to this almost certain asset stripping. We could be world champions but never see our world champions... Oh we are!.. How many times will we see Tai, Lambert, Bewley in 2022?..fast forward 5 years and there could be a dozen or more of the next generation totally lost to British league speedway. German, Latvian and Russia have clubs who race in the polish lower leagues, why don't Britain do the same? Best youngsters getting experience of racing on the continent, more international riders would be seen on these shores in the return fixtures. Put clauses in contracts that if riders want to take up a place they must ride in the UK.
