Nobody should pay more than £15 for a night at a speedway meeting IMO

Yeah when you consider you get upwards of 16+ races over 16+ laps each with 20+ cars at Cowdenbeath Stock Cars you have to question the value speedway offers?

Not the best comparison though……..Stock Car racing isn’t a professional sport. Only the best over a season get a financial bung as far as I know so not anywhere near the expense of running a Speedway club.

Also stadium rent will also play a part on how much admission is? Prob a fine balancing act between not making a huge loss and overcharging fans.

Easy solution though is don’t overpay the riders.

Okay but others do and clubs seem to be set at similar prices.

If feels like Birmingham have tested the water with this 20quid pricing, many will follow.

Often wonder how it would be if they reveryed to all the machines were owned by the team and mechanic employed to tune and maintain them and riders contracted to race them?

Might find some talented kids who could never afford machinery that that way.

Oh and if a rider wants to chase individual championships he uses machines he has purchased and maintained himself.

I was told be a young riders father, that is how they treat the younger riders in Poland, basically all the rider has to do is just turn up.

Way back in the dim and distant past was George Hunter not an advocate of this type of arrangement ?
