Tarasenko 5.00 (until Monday when he goes up to 9.67) is a straight swap for Nowak (5.42)

Perfectly legal.

Now what does that say about the rules?

Will the BSPA approve this signing? how is this different from  Patryk signing that got rejected?

If this dosen't get approval Glasgow will be furious, transfer deadline is monday.

Think there will be a new rule for next season to prevent this happening again, fair play to Glasgow for finding a loophole, makes a change for us to manipulate the rules

That's one hell of a signing. Doesn’t solve the issues at reserve but makes the top five very powerful indeed.

Actually it does, if the top 5 all score double figures, your reserves can be poor & you'll still win

Honestly it's absolutely insane that the assessed averages are same for both leagues. Could Birmingham go and get Laguta on an 8 to replace Morris? It's mad but while it's there of course take advantage. I bet be a few other promoters ringing round the continent as we speak

Assuming the authorities don't find a reason to block this signing as well, why can he not start for another fortnight

Probably too short notice to be signed by Friday, then Glasgow don't have another fixture till the 8th

The rules are stupid, can't blame Glasgow for taking advantage of them though. If any promoter complains, I'd simply reply, "why didn't you bring it up at the AGM"?

To be honest, we’ve been discussing that very rule for the last few days on here, so it’s not a surprise to us, even if signing Tarasenko specifically is. Let’s not pretend all the Championship clubs didn’t realise the rule is there. But now it’s been used, they might use their common sense to change the rule for next year.

Didn't Tarasenko get a "real" average immediately after Monday Aug 21 when he completed his third home meeting for Peterborough?  Premiership riders need 3H and 3A to get an average

Agreed it’s the rule that’s at fault, not Glasgow for exploiting it.

Although my comment on getting a financial package together still applies, not  many Championship teams could do it.

No. His new average is from 28 Aug - see latest greensheets. Nothing irregular about that, it's how it has always been.

Ridiculous that Tarasenko has the same 5 average in both Premier and Championship. There’s really no doubt whatsoever that Glasgow with this signing will win the Championship this season.

They won’t need decent reserves as the top 5 will be overpowering. It’s a signing similar to Lambert coming into BV last season to win the playoffs for them.

But if it is within the rules, then so be it.

Cheque book out for extraliga rider. The rule is so stupid and shouldn’t really be allowed but it is and can’t blame them for taking advantage of it.

However nobody else could really afford to pay their team plus this calibre of rider at the same time.

Is it changing on 28th though. Column A which is effective from 28/8 still says assessed 5pt. Column C has a higher average but the definition of that just says 'when applicable'. ???
