Premiership Pairs 2023 - Wolverhampton 15th May

Recommended Posts

See that that Lublin v Krosno Ekstraliga match has been rearranged on same date, so Ipswich will start their defence without Jason Doyle and Sheffield won’t be able to call on Jack Holder, although they might have gone with 2 from  Museliak/Ellis/Howarth anyway

Thought Monday's were protected in the UK.

Mondays are protected. Poland can swivel

BUT……….. it’s only pairs so I can imagine holder and Doyle will be in Poland. That wouldn’t surprise me

Poland call the shots, Protected race nights don't mean anything in this country as the riders will do whatever Poland tells them to do.

British Speedway on it's final years while Poland pays the big money.

I actually prefer a one off winner on the night event than what they’d planned previously. It should have been a round at every track like last year so all clubs get a home leg, but if that wasn’t possible, this is a better alternative than giving three clubs a home track advantage and not the others.

Only thing I’d have like to see changed is the venue. Nothing against Leicester, but they’re in the competition themselves so it’s still one club getting a home advantage. Couldn’t they have picked a neutral track in the Championship? Birmingham for example? It would also give a championship club’s fans the opportunity to see the likes of Emil and Doyle amongst others.

And they've already penciled in Wolves v Sheffield on the 15th May to replace the Pairs with the KO Cup semi-final,before the side have even ridden the 2nd leg of the qtr-final against Belle Vue.                So have the Aces been told don't bother trying to win it will mess up the fixture list.
