12.05.2023 - Scunny v Glasgow BSN Series SF L1

Recommended Posts

Tough to call. Can we take advantage of scunnys new signings bedding in? Will anyone beat dougy? Can Marcin take to the EWR quickly. Mountain will likely score a hatful of points, but hoping our middle 3 will keep us within 6-10 for the 2nd leg

The way we throw points down the drain on away trips, even if we have a 20  point lead from the first leg the Tigers would still probably win.:D

Glasgow will probably lose, in a close meeting.

Easiest thing to predict - 6 rides for Connor Mountain.

Then probably 2 points between Max Clegg and Nathan Ablitt.

Cleggs last 2 visits to scunny was 8+1 and 7+2 think he will b ok at Scunny

Might be wrong but feel Scunny will suit Marcin, a fast round track. Scorpions will be trying to match Ablitt with Pijper while Glasgow should be avoiding that. A battle of team managers. Who will win that? Scunny have a strong opening pair and are stronger at reserve too but Basso and Vissing should outscore their opposite numbers. Glad it's on BSN.

Let’s hope this fixture doesn’t succumb to the dreaded English weather

Don't think southern based Ablitt will have done many laps round Scunny whereas Ace has. Not that it'll matter much as Mountain should clean up at reserve.

MPT was supposed to be having a practice session mid week to iron out his machinery problems. It makes sense that the two new signings also took the opportunity to get some laps in around the EWR at the same time-don't know if this actually happened?

And wasn't he at the practice day thing where Jack Thomas got injured.

I remember him riding in the British youth championship which they ran prior to a Scorpions meeting because it had rained and he was on a 150 I believe and cleaned up he was the only one properly sliding the bike
