Bailey should be streets ahead can't see much of a challenge for him.

So a grand total of FIVE of the originally qualified line-up (Clegg, Complin, Morley and the Comets duo) are expected to race.

So the rules are ignored by Mr Godfrey to the benefit of Poole and Scunthorpe and the detriment of Workington and the NDL. Interesting that neither Poole or Scunthorpe have NDL teams and the memory of how the NDL were treated when IOW were forced out of BSPL sanctioned racing and went under the NORA banner.

This is starting to look like a situation where the NDL could be dropped which means IOW could be joined by a number of other clubs. If that happens it will the exact opposite to what BSPL would want which just shows how good they are at guiding the sport in the right direction and also proves why the sport is in such a mess.

So how does NORA league with IOW, Kent, Plymouth, Mildenhall and Workington sound for a starting point?

Hardly cost effective for Workington to run in that league with the travel costs involved and he has already stated he’s not looking to run ANY team next season, however strange that may seem.

The line-up fails to inspire me 7 the future of the NDL is in serious trouble if it's not supported by the top table or the riders

Exactly.     The Workington promoters were at BSPA HQ this week where their application to enter the Championship for 2024 was accepted.

It was the only option open to them since Godfrey and pals have decided to scrap the NDL in 2024.  Godfrey doesn't like stand-alone clubs in the NDL in case they make money.  So the NDL has been scrapped to force Workington, Mildenhall (& Kent) to move up to the Championship or close.    Workington are moving up.  Mildenhall & Kent are gone.

Had an inclination it would be something along these lines. Buzzing is an understatement! It’s obviously been forced and I think the plan was to probably have a couple more seasons in the NDL but hey ho. Great things on the horizon for the comets and hopefully we can get back that silverware we won.

Where to start with a team? Can imagine with the facilities available the riders will be queuing up to sign but, my first signing, wouldn’t most definitely be Connor Bailey. It’s just who you pick from our current crop to fill the number 7. For me it would be either Ace, Luke or Sam.

Is there a reason why Belle Vue & Oxford are using reserves? They've not got 4 riders out injured have they?

Slightly misinformed there clubs are choosing not to run Ndl rather than it been scrapped. It's been said for a while certain clubs won't run so a league of 4 teams isn't  a league it's more a series of challenges.

If a club decides its not running there's nothing the Bspl can do they can't force them

Think this is why workington and mildenhall have been encouraged to move up .
