Workington 2024

Recommended Posts

You never know Richard Lawson may return home to Cumbria.

Leave Poole, make peace fully with his dad, become best mates with Craig Cook, have Kyle Bickley as his mechanic, and be happy to be second heat leader and bonus point king.

Then still around 5 points to play with.

Meanwhile on January 1st the New Year will bring reality back to life

Happy New Year and sarcasm aside it's GREAT to see Workington back and I can't wait to get up there for a week in the Lakes and a trip to Northside

Poor signing if that is the case.

No chance surely, leaving 10.07 left for a Number 1?

Good outing for Tate Zischke tonight in the Centenary meeting

Finished 3rd in his semi final. Won heats 11 and 17 ahead of the likes of Douglas, Fricke, Holder and Doyle.

Looks an exciting signing for the Comets!

Top class field just look at some of the names he out scored,a one off meeting but allready looking a class act.

Saw that & thought if he can reproduce that form for the Comets he'd be a steal on a 5.00 average.

As a Darcy Ward protege on his home Darcy Ward North Brisbane track, he was expected to do OK. He is also the wildcard in the first round of the Aussie Championships so will be interesting to see how he does then.

Not many 18 year old would beat these guys wether it was in his back yard or not. This boys got skill. Workington have done well to get him

I’m pretty sure if Tobias Thomson had beaten some of these riders on his home track we would be hearing how he’s one of the best signings of the season.

Great work by Workington to get Tate.

Not disputing that. It is a great signing that Darcy set up when they were over here in August. Once he's dialled in to the Worky track he should do a great job as long as he doesn't have too many crashes early on. Only time will tell how he does on the away tracks.

I expect like the majority of new riders he will take to a few tracks quickly but struggle at others, as you say Worky should suit hom down to the ground, probably Scunny and Glasgow too
