Islander15 1,065 Posted March 29 This should be an easy home win. If Howarth wants to fill the big shoes of Douglas then he needs to be looking at scoring a near maximum.

Kyle has a sub 8.00 average so is never gonna score what Douglas did, but his lower average allows them perhaps the best second string pair in the league, that could be what wins them meetings.
iainb 5,022 Posted March 29 Track has had water pumped off of it after a heavy shower... can't help but think the next shower isn't too far away though

In years gone by Scunny struggled without an out and out number 1 until Douglas dramatically upped his game. Howarth is familiar with wearing number 1 on his back but after a sub par season at Plymouth, comes on a relatively low average to allow a stronger middle order. I’m not necessarily saying he will replace Douglas’ scoring but at home at a track he knows well I think he will score as a genuine number 1 and add a point to his average.

He's been a "number one" when at Leicester. So in a weaker league, certainly has the potential to put a point on his average.

Racin Jason 72 1,283 Posted March 29 Chances of the meeting going ahead with cook and batchelor present was always going to be slim. track staff did a excellent job but another shower made the decision. At least everyone goes home fit and well.
