It’s funny how many fans of other clubs have this outside view of him. But Comets fans think otherwise. He’s a very valuable rider for the Comets, especially away from home. His points got us in the playoffs almost single handily later on in the season in 2024. -
Seems to me that now more than ever, is the time that riders who have been supported by British Speedway over the last 20 years should seriously consider giving something back in whatever way they can. -

So sorry for Ipswich fans who must be devasted. The Louis family have been a credit to the sort in various guises and, whilst having a Witches bias (which is completely understandable), have always put the interests of the sport in general first. The sport is crying out for a supremo to be the figurehead, face and voice of the sport. Fans, media and sponsors have no idea how the sport is governed. I for one would be more than happy if that was Chris Louis. -

And this is the problem for getting new promoters interested especially if they are professional people not rich fans of the sport, first you might well need £100-£150k to set light to, you assemble a team of mainly british based riders so baring injuries your 1-7 should be on display most weeks to try and set a strong relationship with the fans. Even with that achieved you face the prospect of your opponents turning up most weeks missing half their team and borrowing riders from other clubs, and your having to run on generally unattractive nights also. -
Any outside chance, for the short term, would Jake Nicholls step it to promote. I know he goes often and he is running his own section of his Dads business now. He is close friends with Dan Bewley who rides in his dads back garden MotoX and he knows Adam Ellis and Doyle really well… totally out of the box comment I know but just to keep Ipswich going as they live here too?
