I know for a fact the Stars management team weren’t happy that the Lions published our team along with theirs. As that was never going to be our lineup 🤷🏻♂️ they should have published their team and then just put “Stars lineup to follow”, or something like that -

Didn't go to the meeting so can't comment on the track, but that aside maybe there is a glimmer of hope , a track runs on its preferred night, it has a team that is manned by riders who are 90% plus committed to riding in the UK and over 3k turn up. Granted its against decent opposition and a new talent was being wheeled out. However it goes to show if you could get rid of doubling up, multiple guests, run on your preferred night, promote the sport locally, try and keep 3-4 of the team year after year so supporters can relate to them you might have a chance of breaking even or making a small profit. If you had of had Holder and Ward there v Doyle and Emil last night you would probably have got 4k plus in but it goes to show if things fall into place there is still a market for speedway at a rider level seen last night even though the super stars weren't there. -

There are always 2 sides of a coin in any situation. Obviously there are plenty of Aussies who have come over, grafted and taken the chance presented to them.....there have also been plenty of bang average ones who have had a season or two basically having a paid for holiday. The same as Brits, there are plenty of flashy showy youngsters about with all the idea and ego although to be fair its often the parents (with deep pockets) who have enabled this......there are also the ones who do genuinely try and focus on the job at hand and can be just as successful. -
I think young Mr Cairns is going to be a bit of a divisive character in Speedway, he's had the money thrown at him (kit & Hancock and all that) but has served his apprenticeship on the 250's and NDL, he seems a cocky/confident (take your pick) character, a bit in the Woffy mold without the effing and jeffing... did he have a little dig at Boughen? Or was it just a poor choice of words? At the moment he's backing his confidence up with performances (Audi estate in Poland excused).

Surely a poster or two could be put up to make people aware ? The 2 clubs could also try to organise reduced/free tickets both ways.
