The FIM would never allow it even if the likes of Max Perry (choose your own rider) were allocated a GP spot, much like a decent percentage of spots were allocated to the "lesser" Speedway nations in days gone by. And if you look at the international calendar, those "lesser" nations still get allocated a decent amount of events -

I'm sure I read somewhere that the track shop was going to be open this Saturday (20th Dec). Does anyone know if this is still the case? If so, any idea of times? -
Nor was Vic Huxley, Tom Farndon, Bluey Wilkinson, Vic Duggan, Jack Young, Ove Fundin, Barry Briggs, Ivan Mauger....it's just impossible to compare riders from different eras and although it gives us fans hours of endless fun speculating, it really is an impossible task to say who was the greatest rider ever. The greatest you've actually seen maybe, but not of all time. -
Mmm, not sure about this. I know this is worse case scenario but GP's with Polish riders only. How boring for the public and TV (if they were still interested) would that be? -
