Its Speedway in Poland always lots of pressure to score from fans,management,sponsors what does he expect.

Depends on the length of gap, frequency, lack of communication, awful music, cold, whether you want burger..etc. I'd rather have a good efficient meeting & then enjoy ...

Funny how czestochowa are leading the meeting and then the track gets mysteriously over watered which is unusual for gorzow and czestochowa fall apart

Really odd this ..Wolves have done really well over years while running on a Monday other clubs has gone bust or lost loads of money like Eastie who ran on a weekend . But now because Belle Vue don't like running on Mondays somehow running on a Monday is now a massive problem for Wolves ?

Couldnt disagree more and it hasnt worked in the past.. the polish kids are far and away the best in the world because they get used to riding under pressure early on. Tai Woffinden also rode in Poland early in his carrer and he is our only top line rider... if you want to get to the top you need to get used to riding under pressure

Brits have helped each other in the past...I guess the question is maybe whether there was anyone there to make the riders aware of the situation. In his first big meeting I can imagine that Dan wouldn't have been thinking about permutations for others...Even Robert might not have been thinking of Dan as a threat given his performance up to then...they would have needed someone to have a word...and I'm guessing no-one did that. Edit - Just saw teaboys comment. Hopefully Lambert will get one of the wildcards. Harris, not so much.

One big league is nonesense. Fans will not come for Poole v Redcar or Berwick. How is that going to pack out stadiums? Clubs like Sheffield and Ipswich should be in the top flight and they way they acted when the premership wanted Mondays and Thursdays was frankly disgraceful.

Cook is averaging 8.44 with bonus points at home this season and Fricke 8.19 so we'll have something to compare with Kurtz and JG 's scores. Hopefully, the racing will be up to the usual standard and we'll have an enjoyable meeting despite having only 4 of our own team. I'm looking forward to seeing Lambert, he didn't race at the NSS last year but seems to be on good form and making good starts so I'm expecting him to do well.

So instead of saying he's retired, he has told everyone he's taking time out so we don't have to replace him? Using R/R and guests for the rest of the year is hardly going to be interesting and bring in the crowds for all the money we don't have... Any other team, if one of their riders was going to take time out would act straight away or at least communicate with their fans what the plan was...?

I would love to see Ellis Perks or Adam Roynon (I know he hates Brough) over Carl, no offence to Wilko but I think his time has come... He seems very keen, but he's just slowing down with age sort of thing... Maybe he should look at leading Buxton in the National League or something? I've never thought of Ludvig as a number 1, he's my favourite rider but I do agree, he should be at number 4 ideally... With a decent and consistent number 3 to partner him... It just annoys me, even last season it happened... People seem to be straight on at him before even contemplating anyone else... Ludvig, Ashley and Jake were the only Diamonds to get a race win yesterday, Carl was poorer than Ludvig, Matthew was poorer than Ludvig, but it was straight to having a go at him, without fail every meeting we lose, even when he hasn't done as worse as other riders in the team... He shouldn't be at number 1, he's in a false position and probably has the hardest job on any of the Diamonds at the minute (As will any of the riders who go to number 1 this season will)

We are struggling to get 1 or 2 guests. What makes you think we'd manage to find 7 riders (+ our 5) wanting to turn up for a "nothing" individual meeting that even the 'die-hards' are reluctant to turn out for.

I would suspect that nobody else wanted to do it. You can't force riders to guest if they don't want to. And with the GP qualifiers this weekend (3 yesterday, 1 tomorrow) quite a few wouldn't be in the country. Plus our averages ain't great which further limits our options

There was an article in the Wolves v Poole programme, that I thought was worth sharing. The article is written by Mark Sawbridge who is the official historian for Wolverhampton. He has previously written a book about Wolverhampton Speedway and is a well respected member of the speedway researcher community. The article states that Wolverhampton Speedway will be 90 years old this year. Furthermore, it is now the oldest track in the world, because all other older tracks have closed or simply don't exist anymore. I am long term Wolves fan, since 1967, but this is still a surprise to me. Long may we continue ! If anyone is interested in the article, PM me.
