Can I say that you are all entitled to your opinion of dogs and their owners treatment of them? All I would say about my attendance at speedway meetings with my faithful friend is this. I am a responsible owner. Lenny remains on a lead at all times at meetings. Should he disgrace himself (God forbid) I always (N.B. ALWAYS) pick up. And he doesn't bark or detract from the entertainment in any way. The only time that other fans take note of his presence is to come and say hello and enjoy his happy response to their attention. He, therefore, in my opinion, only adds to the occasion and in no way upsets anyone or imposes his attentions on anyone. If it were in any way different I would not bring him. I make no apology for wanting to bring Lenny to meetings and we both enjoy each other's company. The way our adopted team is going this season, if I choose to stay away I think Lenny would leave me at home. Lenny's a nicer bloke than some so called fans that I've met and he is certainly better behaved than a small minority of children at meetings I've been to. Lenny is a light brown Greyhound cross. I'm conspicuous by my Bees coat and hat. Feel free to come and meet us at meetings at any time and debate the wisdom of my bringing him with me.6 points

Happy enough with that - shame we couldnt squeeze out another point to send the Stars home empty handed but you cant have everything This team is built to do just what it did today - every week you are likely to have 1 or 2 not score so well but another will step up This week take a bow Barry4 points

If you can’t tell the difference between a dog and a horse, you shouldn’t leave the house.4 points

I'm guessing you never saw the replay showing it from behind. Zagar rode straight into Doyle and caused the accident. Just because something happens on the first bend it doesn't always mean nobody has caused it,4 points

Pleased with this nice tight scoreline, stops the cheats fudging the averages and making 17 changes.3 points

Good day for Barry,,,, let's keep it going. A typical daytime meeting with the track drying very quick. A win is a win.3 points

Sorry I thought it was always the best prepared race track in the UK?! Can't have been Poole riders asking for it to be watered as they never like track watering once the meeting is well underway!!3 points

Jedd List looking very fast after the meeting, albeit racing alone. I would try and fit him in if we can.3 points

My Border Collie Lucy doesn't need dragging as she actually waits by the door when I'm going to Beaumont Park and before that Coventry since she was 9 weeks old. To answer your question ~ in my case company on the journey to Brandon and I would feel safer with a dog with me if the car broke down. Same reason for Leicester, also it's quite a trek back to the shopping centre car park in the dark. I really don't know why you find it such a problem if people have a dog with them as owners obviously wouldn't if they were distressed or annoying to other fans. Everyone knows Lucy and she gets lots of fuss, then when the match starts she just goes to sleep.3 points

Ht 2 Heeps definitely took Andersen's front wheel as he attempted the pass. Unbiased view from a youth parent. Stood by the gate on to the track near the first bend.2 points

Very much so - one where you see what you want to see at the time on both sides Would be an interesting one to see a replay of in the cold light of day2 points

grateful for BT coverage but the view of race starts from a camera 200 feet above the ground is awful.2 points

I'm sure it will all come to light when the official attendance figures are released anyway2 points

That's correct long way but getting all important track time,Kieran Douglas was riding no 8 for Plymouth at Mildenhall another long journey2 points

It is, but how many laps have the Panthers riders done on the new track.2 points

Harris needs to swallow his pride and take a break to get his hand stronger, letting us down at the moment. everyone did well enough, well done bellego much more confident performance on a different engine. king looked considerably quicker on Heeps bike practising briefly after the meeting - his practise start on back straight seemed to drive a lot better than those during the meeting on his own bike. Hopefully can get his gear going better sooner rather than later! Heeps shouldn’t of been excluded in reserve race imo - he’d passed Andersen who then turned onto him causing his own fall2 points

Said in the pre season predictions that this Aces line up didn’t convince me and I’m still of that opinion. They are going to be in a scrap for fourth without changes.2 points

Possibly a perfect result for Buster all round? An attendance of around 4000 with a home win to keep more of them coming back and the Stars still getting a point.....2 points

After 8 heats and 16 pts in front, I truly expected a score similar to the match at Poole, Poole had different ideas and found their gating boots. Great comeback so well done to Poole, but for me the real winner was speedway, racing like that is what it's all about, yes they did water too much, but that goes for both teams.Totally agree with others about Wells and Berge, problem is who could we replace them with.2 points

It’s funny how there are more injuries on the so called better tracks!2 points

Could of, and should of, benefitted from both. Could have had Cook instead of Summers AND should replace underperforming Bjerre once he went 6+2 points

Wasn't there so hard to comment on specifics but have seen a few clips of the racing and also some of the comments on social media about the size of the crowd at Arlington (again) and the number of kids attending. Coming from NL with Brummies as Eastbourne have, I think most hardcore speedway fans want close competitive racing and last heat deciders and not runaway wins and nothing brings newcomers back more than excitement; incidents and dare I say crashes. Winning 60 points every week like Eastbourne have for years must get boring and this loss will come as a shock to some. Enjoy it embrace it we used to say "happiness is 40-38" well 45 - 44 sounds as good as it gets to me and if a big crowd there to enjoy it so much the better. I wish we could have some of the commercial and marketing excellence that Eastbourne seem to have found at Perry Barr, no disrespect to anyone at PB but we need more supporters coming in and more enthusiasm and innovation. Well done Leicester though I can't see anyone else winning there and they are also losing riders but finding a way round it and no doubt down to the outstanding man manager they have bought in from Glasgow.2 points

I felt Zagar was particularly tough, he was looking at Doyle too, knew exactly what he was doing and must've known he would come down, guess he didn't realise the other rider was there but it was always a possibility. Maybe Doyle and him have had some previous .....2 points

Honestly I hoped you mopped it up... or if that's all it takes to get you an George canned it was a cheap night... good craic and enjoyed the company... apart from George coming back wid a cider instead of a bitter... yuk... nice to chat with wee Dorothy as well... good meeting although we lost and how costly were Stevie Worrall's engine gremlins in Heat 13.... never mind could have been oh so different... Oh and just to add I find it hard to believe when you told me that Gazc has such gender issues as he comes across so manly in his posts... he must have been the first publican ever in Glasgow to wear a frock... brave man... xxx Regards THJ2 points

Guide and other working dogs are certainly not pointless, the pet ones to me are. I haven't a problem with people who like dogs, that isn't what I said. It was a genuine question as to why the need to drag them along to speedway?2 points

Weather looking good for the Warsaw GP Weekend, High's of 18'c on the Saturday, with highs of 20'c on the Sunday, both days bright and sunny.2 points

Do you know? I don't care what we're talking about. Those 2 sentences are more telling than anything I've read on here in a long time, maybe since I joined the forum in 2001. Yes 2001. When we debated sensibly about tracks, riders even Norbold's Hole. I'm heartened by your contribution. There's hope.1 point

You're not wrong. But Hans has been round the block more than once (he did it with us once at Brandon). He has to dig in and score 5 or 6. The pictures of him on TV tonight suggested something different. A rider in crisis, doing daft stuff at the gate, possibly blaming his pit crew and not looking at ease at all. He's better than that. I know, he's ridden for my side. I know time moves on but his experience at all levels up to World level should be enough to bring him through this. Anyway, I'm not having a go. Well done Peterborough for getting that close, scoring a league point and contributing to good TV.1 point

I remember both and a few more before in the Elite, and the playoff final in 2002 still hurts. It wasn't a complaint, I'm just one of those supporters who just hate seeing them lose, hopefully be another few years before I see another. One thing I've learnt is not to post the same evening if we lose again. Be back for the Glasgow match having calmed down!1 point

It did come as a shock, but as you say 45/44 is far more exciting than 60/30, just hope next time it goes the other way , I didn't realise until the posts on here what a bad loser I am, I'll try harder if it happens again . Think Sunday is good for the crowd, but Saturday night is so much better for the track, normally even better racing.1 point

You are entitled to your opinion, some do some don’t. Very much doubt the thousands of unfortunate blind or deaf beneficiaries would agree they are ‘pointless creatures’. Appreciate you don’t like dogs, but fail to understand why you have a problem with people that do. Unless they are disturbing the meeting for you.1 point

To be honest I haven't seen any posts that are out of order, sadly for him Chessell has found life in the Championship very hard and that has seem him scoreless and tailed off in most races, no good for rider or club. Time away and a few good scores in the NL will do him the World of good and you never know maybe another chance in the Championship.1 point
