Was very impressed by the fighting spirit Connor Coles showed , we could do a lot worse than consider him for the vacant number 6 racejacket6 points

Unless they grade after each rider there will never be identical conditions which makes timing pointless.4 points

As job applications go he couldn't have done much more. Certainly quick out the traps. Bickley continues to impress, hope he stops growing!4 points

That was as entertaining a 56-33 as you could wish to see. The ref said it was the best meeting she had seen this year.4 points

2018 - Guests in NL proliferate. Widespread complaints by supporters throughout the league Last winter - NL changes the rules restricting guests for 'any reason' to under 18s. Supporters respond positively Last night - new rule applies, fans start whinging. This is a typical case of fans wanting fairer rules until they apply to their club.3 points

The Eastbourne tactical substitution manual . No point doing it against Mr Maximum as he doesn't get beat at home . Heat 8 is protected so that's out . So what is left . Heat 5 , you're 6 points down.........no not yet . Heat 9 then , you're still in touch ........eh nope . Ok heat 12 surely , still an outside chance of a point .....nope . Then heat 14 when the score is 50-27 , bring out the big guns and there you go a 5-1 . Brilliant lol .3 points

Not sure many speedway fans would miss a meeting to watch Eurovision, lack of consistent fixtures is a problem imo.2 points

Speedy recovery to Tom, a big loss for the Eagles , well done to Tigers, a hard fought win, special mention to Paul Starke who has been struggling this season and Connor Coles who should get a chance at no 6 for us2 points
-
Firstly speedy recovery for young Tom. Well done again to the Tigers, just seem to be getting better by the week. Track not the best according to the updates, looks like we managed it better than the home team , but a good weekends work to start our league campaign.2 points

I don't like Madsen OR Lindgren. However, due to the crap we've all had to deal with today, I AM DELIGHTED THEY BEAT DUDEK!!!2 points

Born to British parents in Britain... Perhaps he should have told his parents, "Nah you go ahead and emigrate; I'll just stay here..."2 points

Godfrey actions spoilt it for me... constantly badgering a ref doesn't help, holds up the meeting and generally makes him look like an idiot2 points

I'm absolutely gutted Jake is going to miss this meeting, he is far and away our best rider at this present moment and irreplaceable imo. Still hoping we can put in another good performance against one of the stronger teams, would hate to lose our home record on TV .2 points

Eastbourne really remind me of 1985 when they entered the second tier of British speedway, It took us half a year to build and from then on we dominated the league until we moved up to the top flight again. The team is built to win and entertain at home with the hope that the top three can carry the side away from home with the hope of picking up the odd point here and there. It's very much a club that's building for a very bright future, give us a season and we will be both winning and even more entertaining on the road..2 points

I really hope the roof was shut. The Thunderstorms during the night were enough to wake me up several times.2 points

I agree the Eastbourne live report thing was good.. re the #amow thing on twitter, i assume some of the chaps behind it have deleted their messages as i can only find a handful of posts from Steve Dixon (who's on here isn't he?) and Ian Charles. Quite cringeworthy i think tho and very much stinks of veterans who have had their feathers ruffled by someone who is new on the block and is perhaps using methods and contacts that they themselves have never had the chance to exploit. All very sad.2 points

Take Lambert out of the equation, and your left with a mediocre championship side, and want to charge top dollar way over priced for the product IMHO.2 points

Good to see Drew getting to grips with riding in the main body of the Sheffield side so early. A great 11 points including a pass on Kevin Doolan which is no mean feat around Berwick!1 point
-
TBH I didn't think who was riding / available. Going by the GSA's Ty is still 2nd in the averages, so Lambo, Erik, TJ and another can take his rides I believe ?. If that's the case, better than a guest at the AFA1 point

You can say it as many times as you like, doesn't make it correct. The example you have used is completely wrong as well and actually weakens your argument given as Woffinden was born in the UK to British parents.1 point

I have him on ignore but as some have quoted him, I see what he has posted but typical of him. He should think before posting & do some fact finding.1 point

Not true. Polish league can say to riders " You ride for us or the GP. One or the other". Then probably most of the current GP riders will pick Poland for regular high earnings which will totally devalue the GP. Mind you it would probably give Craig Cook a better chance, lol. Also Polish Federation could order their riders to ride in Poland or be suspended then you wouldn't have any Polish guys in the GP. Quite simply money talks. Every Polish Extra-league match is televised live this year. Two on Fridays, two on Sundays, so the Polish Federation are obviously getting mega zlots for this. They are hardly likely to choose to lose that money by saying no we are not riding on GP Fridays.1 point

I think it's fair to say, King's Lynn need a new track curator. Having read the Peterborough thread and how Buster has turn that track into a 1 line gathers paradise since he's took over, I think it's fair to conclude what the problem is. It isn't so much the "stockcar friendly shale" as mentioned before. Thankfully for Ipswich fans, Buster hasn't got his hands on your track, YET.1 point

If Woffinden has, as you say, a good draw then it is the fault of the others for not picking that number. I enjoyed watching it. Zagar seemed to know what he was doing, taking a long straight for his first lap and then pretty much giving up, knowing he couldn't do that again. Nice to see later riders having to think a bit about what number to take. An interesting exercise, I thought. Would like to have seen riders questioned a bit more deeply on how they rode, what lines they chose and so on.1 point

What people think is good or bad racing is all down to opinion,,, what they have seen before and where they normally see it. I dont think Ipswich will ever be winning any awards for most entertaining track. There are some that think last nights meeting and even the bank Holiday were brilliant and had fantastic racing.1 point

Another decent meeting at Le Stade D'Ashfield despite the dust in the first five heats. Some good stuff from Cook, Lawson, Barker and a return to form for Summers. Eastbourne's 2 pointers had some good tussles with Connor Coles who doubled Luke Chessell's season long score in one meeting. Starkey still lacking speed and a decent gate but seems much more comfortable on the road, not always a bad thing. Onward to the wee team next Friday.1 point

Sometimes you just have to throw the hands up and say we were beaten by a better team. And well were beaten by a better team.1 point

Totally agree. I’ve seen nothing wrong with Gavin’s posts whatsoever. In fact, he seems to make some very good valid points. The reaction from others is bizarre to say the least.1 point

Oops the big bad wolf has come out to play Your talking about constructive criticism is laughable.....................ive said Worrall needs to go..........and instead of debating it im told i should tell him to his face....bit juvenile Just for the record take a look over the thread....see what sort of comments people have said about Shovlar including Poole fans1 point
