Congratulations to Poole on finishing top. I certainly think it carries some prestige even though it doesn’t decide the title. A real pity our season has finished with such a whimper but covering the two Danes has proved impossible, six points from their rides tonight when they would probably score somewhere between treble and quadruple that between them. Big changes needed for next season.4 points

So when and if Poole win the title will be it be an incredible backs to the wall performance ? Nobody can say you aren't predictable.3 points

Easy for Robins as predicted well done to them and all the best for the play offs.3 points

You enjoy the typo while us Poole fans can enjoy finishing top of the pile.3 points

I would certainly understand Wrights stance. Any rider in his position would probably do the same..3 points

"Now it’s all about planning for the future. The first thing to decide is which league we’ll be in and I think that will be the top one again. “Once that’s certain we can really press on with putting together the team for 2020.” C.Johnson in this week's E.T3 points

Whilst i get what you are saying in reality the MDL style leagues should not contain riders that are learning to ride (although sadly in places it does) it should be riders who are bike competent and are honing their racing skills and techniques in preparation for the step up to the next level. The competent riders along with lower level NL riders would produce good racing as all you need for good entertainment is a raceable surface and competition that is of similar abilities.3 points

What a shame - It looks like old TrackPrat has got the hump with Poole even worse than normal.....I wonder why2 points

Big well done to Poole on coming up on the rails to finish at the top. Lets hope all 4 teams going into the play-offs injury free and stay that way. May the best team win. As for Lynn it’s never looked right since the get go and the changes didn’t do anything to correct it.2 points

What a huge turn around after the interval. Shows just how good Middlo is as our manager, getting the riders in the right frame of mind to do the job in hand. we probably won’t win it this year but we are still in there fighting to retain. #PiratePride.2 points

Well done to the 7 riders who’ve clicked as a unit the last 2 meetings & done the job. Now onto Wolves in the play offs as Poole will choose Ipswich.2 points

Good luck to both teams and no injuries. Hope its a great attendance2 points

Shame for him and a shame for us. It was frustrating watching him ride Monday. He had a few opportunities to give it a good go and he just didn't go for it. All hype and no substance. That must really hurt for him too because I would have thought he was expecting to score 6/7 every meeting. To not be as good at something that is the main thing you base your life upon must really cut deep. Maybe he needs a spell on a slicker track that is more suited to him so he can get some confidence up and prove everybody wrong as an away rider next season. Riders with a point to prove are worth Their weight in gold! He should go somewhere else with that attitude and it will be the making of him. There is a 6 point rider in him. He just needs to find it.2 points

Fingers crossed buster succeeds in getting a FIM meeting at the showground next season, we have the best track in the country and we need a big international meeting to showcase this. Plus it might bring in some people that have never seen speedway before which is always good !2 points

Stoneman certainly has the potential but you just feel when watching him that he’s bound to fall at some point. 1 mistake can cost you this meeting.2 points

Better racing at Brough than you get down in Redcar... I'm sorry Just my opinion... You just need some balls to ride Brough... Where Redcar is gate, wind it on and go...2 points

Isn’t it time to move on from ‘Horton bashing’? Mick has lost a great deal of money running speedway over the years - any ideas that he was trousering funds are pie in the sky.2 points

Trackprat must be so frustrated. We still finish top with the weakest lineup in years.1 point

Huh? Who said that - not me. Instead of jumping into confrontation, maybe consider the topic was wildcards, not the whole field.1 point

Well done to the Pirates. Good to see TJ and MPT there. We was never going to cover for them at home. The track looked slicker than usual, and times were a bit slower tonight. Don't know if Buster was there or prepared it ? No excuses, the Pirates wanted it and it showed.1 point

Both us and Swindon took advantage of a weakened Lynn side. If they had been at full strength neither us or the Robins would have got much out of our trips there.1 point

We could just blindside everyone and pick Wolves lol. Freak them out!! Haha, not sure Brady and Jack will go for it though.1 point

2 Heathens on the way, not sure who I want to win. Like both clubs so let's hope for a good meeting. Enjoyed my last visit against the Wolves a while back except for heat 151 point

I actually rated him above Gundersen and Nielsen in the very early 80s. Beyond the obvious 81 World Final performance, he outscored those giants in Test matches too around that time. On my first visit to Brandon in 82, we cheered the Aces onto a crucial 40-38 win (happiness is...!) despite a maximum from TK. Mort and PC were in determined mood, but could not get near a faultless Tommy Knudsen that night. But I think he picked up a bad back injury in Australia one winter (?) and that just seemed to check his progress as Gundersen and Nielsen moved onto the next level. It's also curious that Ole Olsen ended up firmly in the Gundersen camp, rather than Knudsen whom had been a long-time team-mate and - you would have thought - a more obvious fit. Maybe it's just that Erik showed the greater ambition to seek help? That also might have been a factor in Gundersen reaching the top and Tommy not quite. I'd also like his take on the 86 World Final and the clash with Nielsen. Definitely an interview I'd like to read :-)1 point

Well just like to say i am very sorry for the loss of the Potters just like my own Gunners and the Kings we will never sadly see the the likes of them again ,they were all IMO victims of a changing world and culture .There are things the sport can do but I do feel in this day and age many extenal things have/ are conspiring against it and there has never been the robust support that football and alike have enjoyed from outside parties but has been seen as a blight and antisocial activity by non followers . I think that the NSS will be the last pupose built track in this country and the best we can hope for is that demise of the remaining tracks can be avoided for as long as posssible !1 point

Pity Broc's average will be to high come 1st Oct to replace Nathan for the remaining Bears fixtures. Best option would be Nathan recovering for the October matches.1 point

He might of been dejected, so was I watching him score nothing again.1 point

Controversy follows Mr.Barker where ever he goes but do you believe absolutely everything you read on Facebook? Whilst I personally wouldn't lend him a second hand elastic band I also believe key board trolls do love to add fuel to a fire. If he is as guilty as they make out I'm sure the Police would have been involved and then we all would have read about it. Barker is a talent on a bike. He may be a bit of a rogue off it.1 point

If Cookie and Rasmus turn up with their Riders Championship attitude they won't do much. Dark horses for me will be Jake Allen & Ben Barker.1 point

The way it was announced it seemed for both legs, but as you correctly say Eastbourne are riding the same night as the home leg. I'd quickly ask Steve Worrall before Redcar grab him to replace MPT, although might be too late already. If they get Worrall for MPT & Nicol to replace Greaves, they'll definitely be stronger.1 point
