Long term plan. No rider to replace retired Eddy. Come and do one meeting drop it, and we can have a facility for ages. Rider shortage sorted.4 points

Agreed, Barker despite having his issues at times off track is pure box office on it and dirty he is not.3 points

I think the stadium is owned by the Dugards( Eric and his wife?), but last year's speedway business was 'run' by primarily Ian Jordon. That's why everything should be back up and running next year, stadium still owned by people who want speedway to continue, will need some good promoting from Trevor Geer etc though, but at least the people involved next year will be Eagles through and through.3 points

Trying to make a joke of things,, it's pretty clear ipswich were always vast underdogs,,, when you build a team 2 points under limits,,you need more than one rider to race above his average. On a different note,,, looks like Basso could be an excellent signing,,, and Panthers have the best TM by far3 points

Was it 75 - 0 ???? Fair play to the Brummies Promoters... Running the meeting a night before Leicester turn up is a stroke of genius....2 points

I was encouraged by Sunday. To beat a pretty strong Stoke select containing a couple of Brough specialists with a non contributing #1 and a brand new #7 made me hope for a decent set of home results as even if BWD and Congreve don’t meet their averages but do improve, then I think the rest of the team will carry us over the line more often than not. I expect a few hammerings away but that doesn’t tend to affect the crowds at home which is the main thing for now.2 points

He is box office, and his off track antics have blighted his career. He is a wasted talent and could have been a big earner in the sport and went a lot further.IMO.2 points

And to think Lewy mocked scunny and Plymouth get smashed at home2 points

Shock to the system after having months off though. I feel tired just thinking about it! lol2 points

Really? So how come your management tried to tap him up just before the transfer deadline with the promise of better gear & a place in 2022?2 points

Gonna be close I think, will be there if the weather behaves but a few showers forecast at the moment. Worrall certainly the key man.2 points

Many a club had proper teams but sadly no longer have a stadium to race in. Whatever the rights and wrongs down the years, King’s Lynn are still racing. I wonder how many fans would rather say that than yeah we won x amounts of trophies but don’t have a team to support anymore.2 points

He can’t come back till after NKI as done his 28 days anyway. You can’t cancel a 28 day injury replacement2 points

After seeing Basso score paid 14 for Peterborough, Glasgow must be delighted with their new signing!2 points
-
Yeah coz he puts people on the terraces !! He's 1 rider who has imo been great to watch when he's on song & well worth the money to watch but his other antics off track let down big time1 point

I'd hardly say he fenced him, if the shoe were on the other foot I'd fancy Lawson would do the same. It's racing! Looked the right decision albeit I didn't see a replay to see if actual contact was made but fencing him it really wasn't. As far as the stream went I thought it was really good, I'd say the commentators were really enthusiastic but perhaps a bit too one sided (and I'm a Plymouth fan). Either way I was really pleased with the production as a whole and will definitely use it again (not tomorrow though as Poole will thump us). I continue to despair at the track prep though, why oh why Plymouth continue to make the track so slick when firstly we seldom out-gate other teams and secondly it means racing is generally done by bend 2. You can see the track is so much smoother these days which is brilliant to see but seriously put some dirt on it and let them actually pass each other. Dan Gilkes though, what a hero! Looks a hell of a signing!1 point

Sending the water cart out on the inside on a slick track is unreal1 point

Gilkes certainly one to watch. Been best rider on display tonight for Plymouth.1 point

Not often you see someone pass another on the outside and get excluded. Strange one that.1 point

Eddie Kennett withdrawn, big blow for Plymouth? Love to have some of what the commentators are on! Tac move of course!1 point

I'm not sure any speedway meeting is particularly important let alone an early season league Cup warm up....1 point

Bearing in mind Basso was first recommended to Poole by Bjarne and Freddie Jacobsen, maybe thats another bridge burned?1 point

Wasn’t far off the pace last week at Poole. Needs track time and advice from the more experienced team members. Hope he is given enough time to develop his skills.1 point

Hope it’s not just a race to the first bend. Plymouth very small and narrow.1 point

I have not had a problem with opening the referee score charts but I do find it odd that in the news section they add the preview and if the meeting is called off they simply remove the preview. To check if a meeting is off you have to check the results section or go to the home teams website. On the old website they always put a note up in the news area to say a meeting had been called off with the reasons which was much easier to find. Now if you find there is no preview you don't know if the meeting has been called off or they have forgotten to post the preview.1 point

Will the first premiership match shown live for 2022 be Belle Vue v Peterborough on May 2nd, start this season were they ended the last .1 point

Suppose the only bad luck in 2000 was to come up against the best team Eastbourne had ever produced at any time in their history and just edged it, but it was close and both were way ahead of anyone else that season. Although KL had Crump and Adams topping the averages, Eastbourne had 5 riders average between 7 and 9.6, and all British in a proper Elite league.....1 point
-
What utter rubbish Have a look at results for 2000 was very unlucky not to have won the top flight that season and also early 70s we was there it there about a to say we’ve never been a proper team in the top flight is absolute rubbish.1 point

You definitely been proved wrong so far! A tougher test will be interesting, like Sheffield for example.1 point

Yes there is certainly a shortage of riders but hopefully Polish rules maybe relaxed and more Scandinavians can be found? Losing the Shay was a massive blow not only to speedway but in the long run landlords Halifax FC also suffered. I'm convinced that had ways been worked out to keep speedway going at the Shay in the mid 80's then it would likely still be running there now cause that place was always well supported!1 point

As far as I'm aware the speedway is the biggest sports team in Poole?? So why would the council just let them go without a fight. Is Poole the last 'speedway town' in the whole country?1 point

Several months ago a new free newspaper the "Chronical" was launched, it is I believe distributed around the whole West Midlands, this week it featured a full page article on Wolverhampton Speedway and there has been a couple of other reports on Wolves. A few months back it featured a full page article on the fight to get Speedway back at Cradley. So far not a single word on the Brummies. This paper is pushed through every letterbox in the districts surrounding the stadium, someone is missing a trick , please note, Mr Tolley1 point

Seeing as it doesn't look like he's going to answer your question (there's a surprise), I will answer it. It's quite simple really, neither the current nor previous Promotions have asked me to post anything on here. All posts are on my own initiative because I want as many to see whatever I'm posting as possible, as I want the club to be a success, no matter who is at the helm. Not all are on Facebook, so, if it's on FB and not on the website, I will put it on here (sometimes it's on FB, then they put it on the website a short while later, but I've already put it on here!). Hope that clears that up!1 point
