Long term plan. No rider to replace retired Eddy. Come and do one meeting drop it, and we can have a facility for ages. Rider shortage sorted.4 points

Agreed, Barker despite having his issues at times off track is pure box office on it and dirty he is not.3 points

I think the stadium is owned by the Dugards( Eric and his wife?), but last year's speedway business was 'run' by primarily Ian Jordon. That's why everything should be back up and running next year, stadium still owned by people who want speedway to continue, will need some good promoting from Trevor Geer etc though, but at least the people involved next year will be Eagles through and through.3 points

Trying to make a joke of things,, it's pretty clear ipswich were always vast underdogs,,, when you build a team 2 points under limits,,you need more than one rider to race above his average. On a different note,,, looks like Basso could be an excellent signing,,, and Panthers have the best TM by far3 points

Was it 75 - 0 ???? Fair play to the Brummies Promoters... Running the meeting a night before Leicester turn up is a stroke of genius....2 points

I was encouraged by Sunday. To beat a pretty strong Stoke select containing a couple of Brough specialists with a non contributing #1 and a brand new #7 made me hope for a decent set of home results as even if BWD and Congreve don’t meet their averages but do improve, then I think the rest of the team will carry us over the line more often than not. I expect a few hammerings away but that doesn’t tend to affect the crowds at home which is the main thing for now.2 points

He is box office, and his off track antics have blighted his career. He is a wasted talent and could have been a big earner in the sport and went a lot further.IMO.2 points

Shock to the system after having months off though. I feel tired just thinking about it! lol2 points

Really? So how come your management tried to tap him up just before the transfer deadline with the promise of better gear & a place in 2022?2 points

Gonna be close I think, will be there if the weather behaves but a few showers forecast at the moment. Worrall certainly the key man.2 points

Many a club had proper teams but sadly no longer have a stadium to race in. Whatever the rights and wrongs down the years, King’s Lynn are still racing. I wonder how many fans would rather say that than yeah we won x amounts of trophies but don’t have a team to support anymore.2 points

He can’t come back till after NKI as done his 28 days anyway. You can’t cancel a 28 day injury replacement2 points

After seeing Basso score paid 14 for Peterborough, Glasgow must be delighted with their new signing!2 points

Do you think the Plymouth fans were happier to see Andersen team riding Atkins home in ht4 and keeping King behind ,than clear off into the distance and King pick the youngster off . Good performance from the Peterborough number 8 Dan Gilkes doesn't look like he will let the Panthers down if he gets his chance .1 point

The problem all Nations have is that their conveyor belts now all lead to the same place -: POLAND! The creation of the Under 24 League just adds to this. All the best talent from GB ; Denmark , Sweden who have allegedly protected nights) and every other Nation, especially those that have long staffed GB / Danish / Swedish Leagues is now being unilaterally sucked in to the Polish system. The Polish internal conveyor belt is also highly professional. gets massive funding and allows pretty much any Polish boy or girl to join what is increasingly like a UK type football academy where all the equipment is provided from small pee-wee type bikes right up to 500cc. Many of the No Limits / Young GB prospects of the last 3-4 years are already signed up to Polish Clubs and they are already tapping up some aged 14-16 in our Youth set up. It's like comparing PL Football Club like Chelsea (Poland) to Walsall (GB) no slight on Walsall but that is the reality. If you are a Speedway rider with apiration of a full time career and income from the Sport the ONLY place is Poland! We should try to hang on the protected nights (Monday and Thursday) as long as possible; but sadly I fear the CL will have to feed off reducing scraps and those who ride midweek (Tuesday and Wednesday) may be best placed as Poland is slowly gravitating to Friday too for some league matches and its not hard to see them giving preferential treatment to those who will base themseleves in Poland. The U24 League is I understand set for Tuesdays also in some instances in the future. The UK base will surely grow older and ride longer in to late 40's as we are now seeing. The sooner League Speedway in the UK goes semi professional and cuts its cloth accordingly the sooner i think we can find a base level and secure that and hopefully at some point build again.1 point

It is odd In the early 90's Adams deployed Sam Ermolenko (best Wolves rider) at 4 with Graham Jones heat leading alongside the reserves. It looked crazy but worked. But the reserves then (possibly Wayne Carter & Scott Norman) were better than the second strings (possibly Lars Munkedal & Jan Steachman). Not sure if Wolves won the league that year or lost out to Reading narrowly. Worrall @#5 won't work. The reserves are not strong enough. Morris should be @#5 regardless of whether he & Douglas like riding together.1 point

Yes there is certainly a shortage of riders but hopefully Polish rules maybe relaxed and more Scandinavians can be found? Losing the Shay was a massive blow not only to speedway but in the long run landlords Halifax FC also suffered. I'm convinced that had ways been worked out to keep speedway going at the Shay in the mid 80's then it would likely still be running there now cause that place was always well supported!1 point

It not that Poland are lifting their restrictions- it`s if Bewley wanted to do Poland, Sweden and GB then GB would have to quit the International calendar agreement(ISLC) and lose priority and join France, Germany Italy, Czech leagues in playing 2nd fiddle.- not too different from what you have said but slightly. ISLC in 2021 https://www.fim-moto.com/fileadmin/user_upload/Documents/2021/2021_International_Speedway_League_Calendar_14.04.2021.pdf1 point

Seeing as it doesn't look like he's going to answer your question (there's a surprise), I will answer it. It's quite simple really, neither the current nor previous Promotions have asked me to post anything on here. All posts are on my own initiative because I want as many to see whatever I'm posting as possible, as I want the club to be a success, no matter who is at the helm. Not all are on Facebook, so, if it's on FB and not on the website, I will put it on here (sometimes it's on FB, then they put it on the website a short while later, but I've already put it on here!). Hope that clears that up!1 point
