I have never read such crap come out of a keyboard warrior as I have reading all these comments. You are all just total nasty people. Nothing Newcastle speedway does is good enough for anyone on this forum. They could be the best but they would still not be good enough for you all. If your not slagging the track it’s the management or it’s the riders or it’s the day they ride and even the volunteer staff have been called. Just pure nastiness. It’s not even freedom of speech or entitled to your opinion chat it’s just pure slagging then off for the fun of it Well I’ve had my rant and I’m sure I’ll get nasty comments back but as you all say I’m entitled to my opinion and that’s mine12 points

I think you will find Ellis is blameless. Offered a 28 day contract which he honoured plus some. His schedule doesn’t allow for championship once all his other leagues start. he got you out of a muddle in my opinion. It was the promotion who were economical with the truth that caused the fuss.5 points

Totally agree about the BSN stream first time I’ve used last night paid £42 for 5 meetings is great value- streaming meetings is definitely the way forward for clubs a seasons pass for our fav clubs would be a great idea - with the cost of admission and travel costs and everything else going up in price watching from home is a great option . That said can’t beat attending any sport live .4 points

Think you’re missing the point of team sports, the danger aspect is irrelevant , speedway is and has always been a team sport on bikes not a motorcycle sport, hence bikers don’t really go to watch, speedway should be like football or rugby, it is territorial, poland is a classic example of this, the fans support their team and don’t support any other speedway except the GPs in great numbers, they are passionate about their own town/club like football over here3 points

Its awful isn't it, what has this world become?,,, best of luck to Kyle, am sure it will do his confidence the world of good,,, securing a place in a team that no one else wants to ride for?3 points

Kyle also, Ishould remind folk, scored an impressive 7+2on his last visit, so we know he can do it at ourplace. This made me laugh!!! Pretty much every away rider has scored well!! Mainly because the home riders are awful3 points

Don't believe everything you read on the internet, after all speedway fans and even more so, promoters and managers are such a reliable source of information3 points

Killing team sport using my home town wolves as an example Sam masters rides for Edinburgh .Nick morris rides for Leicester. Ryan Douglas rides for Scunthorpe Steve Worral rides for Poole. Drew kemp rides for Poole .leon flint rides for Berwick, only Luke Becker rides only for wolves, right there is why team speedway has died in Britain, how is anyone new to the sport supposed to follow their club when it’s just a glorified swingers club, speedway has many other issues as why it is dying but as far as team speedway goes this has killed the team concept3 points

Do people criticising Gary's speech know he has facial paralysis which affects his speech?3 points

Because the track was well prepared prior to the meeting so it didn’t need it, meaning the meeting was done in 1hr and 20 minutes including a few re runs !2 points

If it was down to me I'd make every rider do a victory lap after winning a race, it beats watching the tractor go around the track. It also amazes me how many people in the crowd don't applaud a rider when they do come round on a victory lap... they're often too busy filling their programmes in!2 points

Seeing the form of cook tonight makes me so glad our KO Cup meeting had a chance to be rearranged!2 points

I've got to hand it to you Discofever. You've provided more entertainment in one post than Rob Grant's Diamonds have all season.2 points

Speedway is an added extra to Foxhalls owners. There's plenty of moaning from the car brigade that the shale ruins the outside track. Best thing would be for Guy Nicholls to build a new track on some land locally and stop using Foxhall.... But build it like Redcar or Somerset.... not Leicester.2 points

Stumbled across this website: https://wwosbackup.proboards.com/ The detail is absolutely mind boggling! Must be a labour of love for somebody2 points

I see the standard statement we are positive about riding next season has been dug out again. Zzzzz.. How about some answers to why the work has stopped etc what the local mp etc is doing etc etc. Can't wait to November after we get done over again.Dont tell me we are positive about riding in 2024 and all the riders are as keen as mustard to ride for us. .2 points

I know,,, I've watched years and years of that rubbish,,, and I still don't have a clue why I do2 points

The last showing on Eurosport - British Speedway's shop window - had an interview at the end of the meeting with Ipswich captain Danny King - then, in the championship round-up, had an interview with Poole captain Danny King! Explain that to a casual sport fan, whilst retaining some credibility? It's been necessary due to lack of riders but the extent of the doubling up has to end2 points

My apologies to Mr brown. Knew something we didn't. Is this same illness Jason garrity used to get when due to ride north of the border?2 points

I should imagine the Poles noted that a couple of weeks ago NKI rode Monday England Tuesday Sweden Wednesday Denmark Thursday England and thought hello that`s Poland and 3 other NOT 2 - we are not having that !! and took action.2 points

What’s the point in the rising star being forced to be used? Fair enough have them on stand by in case of injuries but it’s a stupid decision to have them be forced to be used. A pairs meeting… where you have to use 3 riders2 points

Well, maybe they're still looking for 'press officer',,, or is it a case of everyone needing to be spoon fed, is it too hard to work things out yourself? It'll all come out in the wash, some folk are so demanding these days.2 points

Once upon a time nobody got seeded. Everyone from the World Champion down started the next year from scratch. Didn’t stop Mauger winning 6, Fundin winning 5 or Briggs winning 4.2 points

Isn`t it funny how many riders have said over the last few years that the Polish rules are unfair and they are not going to sign for teams and ride there- answers on a postcard please !! HE WHO PAYS THE PIPER CALLS THE TUNE1 point

I did a 5 year apprenticeship to obtain my indenture and at the end of the 5 year you were put on what they called "black time" where you didn't get the full pay rate until you made up all the half hours and quarters you had been late in the morning or lunchtimes and all the unofficial days you had off (including sick days) were worked off... plus during "black time" the company had a tradesman being charged out at the full rate while the newly passed out apprentice only got 60% of the tradesman's rate until his "black time" had been worked off... Also it didn't work the other way where to help the company if you did overtime them hours or days never came off your 5 year term or your "black time"... Nothing like experience and pushing out craftsmen after 13 weeks of training just dilutes the job... (hence the disparaging name I suppose) but there you go things change... Regards THJ1 point

Halifax had a concrete starting grid in the fifties, and I don't remember it being dug up when they reopened in 65,so maybe they laid the granite over it.When the tractor came round on the track grade, they always lifted the grader when they past over the starting grid,so could have been something still there.I also remember a concrete starting grid at the old Stoke stadium at Sun street.I am sure a material could be found that would put an end to all the ridiculous gardening that goes on,and would make all gates equal .1 point

Hopefully he gets what needs changing changed and can do better in his next fixture. You wonder if it would do Leon better if he made himself available for the Polish Under-24 league, he has flirted with Poland with ROW Rybnik in the past.1 point

Steve, it isn't the tractor grading as such. But when you turn up at a meeting expecting to see the action straight away, and then are expected to wait sometimes an hour for them to sort out the track, it wears thin. Then after that, there's the longer than normal tractor grades between races to sort out something they've had days to sort out. And don't forget, as a programme contributor I didn't pay much of the time, and I stopped attending. Of course, it isn't just about tractor grading.1 point

I've noticed that a few people on twitter have asked the question to Tomlinson about why the work has stopped and his response was that he didn't have an update. You would have thought someone who was so vocal about being part of saving speedway in Swindon would have wanted to see this through to the end but clearly not.1 point

How did everyone manage with newspapers and magazines, which were full of ads on every page? Again, if you want something to be free (which I'm sure you do), then you have to put up with the ads...1 point
