Just seen lineups. I get you want to win but FFS this is supposed to be the pinnacle of the league and the peak of the season. But rather than wait a week you'd rather run up a cricket score against what is barely an NDL side? Think I'll pass even watching it on BSN9 points

The crowd will not be affected regardless of the Plymouth lineup. That was proved when Brum came down with a patched up lineup. Big crowd. They will line up, if it is on, as: 1 Rider Replacement 8.402 Ben Morley 4.293 Ben Trigger 8.004 Anders Rowe 6.765 Dillon Ruml 7.156 Lee Complin 3.267 Connor Coles 2.00 If that is the official lineup, Pirates really need to be up for it. No sitting back. Plymouth could certainly hold us close. Rider Replacement certainly knows his way around Poole. Been here enough times. Morley is no slouch. Wasn’t Trigger from Only Fools and Horses in the GPs a few seasons ago? Rowe and Ruml solid and Complin always entertains with his around the boards efforts. Coles and Ablitt battling for the odd point. Too close to call.7 points

As I’ve mentioned in my post a little earlier, it’s very sad to see such animosity on here. Both clubs are very well supported by some excellent fans and whilst we are all partisan and want our team to succeed, it’s a shame to see people act in this way6 points

Sad news .Never trust Council when money is involved.Brown envelopes no doubt.6 points

Complete disregard for the supporters, early call off was a no brainer if you looked at the forecast, to focused on beating a depleted Plymouth team. Arrogance personified definitely his fathers son. Hope it's cost the club a few quid aswell. Karma is a wonderful thing, nearly as good as hindsight. I can't stop smiling.4 points
-
What a load of nonsense. Everyone was made aware to help drum interest to get the local community involved in it to raise funds. How are the club supposed to do that by keeping it hush. Everyone knew from the start it wasn’t a certainty. The club made everyone aware of that.4 points

Poole won’t be getting my £30 odd quid tonight and I presume many others are in the same position. Silly situation really and a stain on the league as a whole. The sport needs independent governance, quickly, before it dies out.4 points
-
Nothing! BSPL should step in and either give Poole a bye or order a postponement due to understrength team. It maybe in the interests of Poole to run tonight but it's not in the interests of the sport imo4 points

Unless the rain dictates otherwise, why should Poole call the meeting off? Poole are a highly professional outfit. There's no way they'd go through a season not replacing a rider out since April (Edward Kennett). That Plymouth did not so has come back to bite them on the bum. Why is it Poole's fault that Plymouth have not replaced injured and suspended riders? The recent injuries are hard luck, but Kennett's been out since April and Barker since July. As for the demise of Plymouth Speedway, I doubt if an away loss on a night when only a handful of their diehards are present is going to make much difference. The call off of the home meeting against Glasgow - complete with the whole farcical situation of setting their own track on fire to the degree where the fire service was called - was far more damaging. Heaven knows what the non die-hards in the stadium were thinking that night. I hope that Plymouth are back next season.4 points

The epitome of self interest, poole promotion desperate to run this match which let's be honest is a joke match up could result in the demise of Plymouth Speedway. Definitely not in the interest if anyone.4 points

The whole league points system is over complicated and confusing. Just go back to aggregate bonus point and two man run offs if its a tie.4 points

Shame. It was a nasty spill when he lost control . Wish him well.3 points

Easy to have a pop, especially given some of the comments made re Plymouth... However.... I would like to think that he sportingly realised that Plymouths team wouldn't mean a fair match could take place, so thoughtfully organised torrential rain, thunder storms and lightening.......3 points
-
Could of said it better myself. Bunch of selfish morons. karma has hit hard but I’m sure the Poole faithful will have there excuses as they won’t admit the wrong decision was made3 points
-
Maybe they couldn't afford to replace Ed.. And Poole know all about loopholes!! As for Ben, Plymouth cat take any blame for Ben. Maybe you should be careful what you write.....Not all clubs have the crowds/money that Poole has... Buts it's ok, Poole will be alright. Bloody glad your not in the top league any more.3 points

It's not fair on Ben Trigger at all, is it? He's being fed to the lions and doesn't stand a chance. Hopefully Ben will follow in the example of Henry Atkins, move away and find life better away from Plymouth. Henry is flourishing again at Oxford, under the guidance of a supportive club and manager.3 points

Great looking Plymouth side! Shame Kennett can't make it as I feel he may have made the difference!3 points
-
Never said it was Poole's fault, pointing out that it's an uncompetitive fixture impossible to promote. This situation has nothing to do with foreign riders though, been decimated by injuries but as was suggested Poole used their alternative night of Friday a more competitive side would surely be available given only other fixture is Redcar and Edinburgh.3 points

We can blame the Poole track for 2 of the teams injuries this season .3 points
-
Can anyone find Danny Ford’s conscience ? Poole to beat Plymouth into oblivion . Another team bites the dust .3 points
-
They could run the 2 ties next week where plymouth could be half way competitive, be a better marketing product for the poole promotion as they can never be as weak as tonights side .3 points

Sadly this does not come as a surprise to me. As soon as they went public with their plans, I felt that they had jumped the gun in terms of leading Monarchs fans to think that it was in the bag. I feel very sad for the Monarchs fans, but less sympathetic towards their promotion and officials for making rather rash and bold statements that they've not been able to keep (regardless of whether they've been let down by the council or not). Sadly, its another club that appears to be heading for the wilderness.2 points
-
I’ll repeat like I said earlier. They announced the plans of what they were going to do if they got it. The club have never once said they have the land. Again it was announced to drum up interest and extra funds for the project. Unfortunately the council choose a different bidder.2 points

I agree Alfie. Passions have run high these past few weeks, let’s all just take a few minutes and just go back to getting behind our respective clubs who do great work and have had great seasons2 points

I’d just like to point out, in the interest of fairness, we aren’t all showing animosity on this forum. I for one, wouldn’t do that, I’m happy to defend my club and offer my opinion on something but I won’t ever show animosity2 points

Have edited. No offence was meant to anyone. As I say above, a thoughtless turn of phrase for which I apologise.2 points

God is a gladiators fan let’s be honest hopefully 2 good teams line up against each other next week and may the best team win.2 points

I’ve sat back and observed what’s been said on this thread and similar things sad on the one for last night and it’s a shame really. Both clubs have had excellent season but there’s so much animosity. I didn’t comment on the Gladiators side tonight because I just wanted all the riders to get back safe. I was relieved that we were even able to get 6 riders let alone their ability! It’s a shame tonight’s meeting is now off. I know there were quite a few Gladiator’s who were either already in Poole or well on their way there. These things happen unfortunately and I hope they all get home safely, same goes for the Pirate fans who are travelling around in that horrible weather. Time to rest up and get ready for next Tuesday, sadly I’ll be missing it due to an already arranged prior engagement at Argyle v Oxford United although, the seven day forecast leaves a lot to be desired once again. Let’s see what the weekend brings us.2 points

Does this mean we are going to have a third thread open before we get a first leg staged in this fixture?2 points

They would need more than six teams to let six qualify for the play offs... Although.... Maybe not.....2 points

You have to feel the the Council led the consortium on a little bit.( just my opinion)they knew the situation the Club was in.Edinburgh did make it clear that there was a chance this could happen but thought the Council would look on their bid favourable as it was Industrial land and it was a Community Project in the Long term.2 points
-
He hates rain Aggravates his foot in mouth disease2 points
-
So the whole thing should have been done behind closed doors meaning Edinburgh wouldn’t have the opportunity to demonstrate the support from fans and the community? You think someone who was looking to build industrial units in the area was only alerted to the availability of the land because of the Edinburgh bid? Nonsense.2 points

The rain band is about 25-30 mins wide. Depends how heavy it is and whether it will directly hit. decided to wait and see. Danish league on tv followed by Champions League if not on. Could get away with it and get it on.2 points

I’ve always said that most people go into politics for personal gain. Local councillors are the worst2 points
-
What utter utter drivel. While ultimately the decision is not what everyone hoped for, the Monarchs needed the local community to rally round and lobby the council. Is there a mute button on this forum btw?2 points

Plymouth will do well to get 25 points tonight! It's such a shame as they started the season so well! I had the misfortune to be there when they thrashed Leicester 60.30! I hope they have better luck next season!2 points
-
Why would Panthers fans feel “cheated”? They lost absolutely nothing. Under the old scoring system they would have got 1 point for a home draw, they still got their 1 point for the draw. They were just given an extra opportunity to pick up a couple more which they didn’t take! So they weren’t cheated as you put it, in any way shape or form. If anything they should be grateful they were given another opportunity to grab another two points!!2 points
-
Poole can only race (beat) what's put out in front of them. WTF has it got to do with DF if Plymouth can't put together a decent team? They should've replaced Kennett at the start of the season but have used a loophole to use R/R all year and now that's come back and bitten them on the 'arris! They would've (injuries permitting) had a decent No. 1 riding tonight if they'd replaced EK. They'd also have Ben Barker if he was available. Only got themselves to blame I'm afraid... EDIT: My apologies to all and especially to Ben for my poor choice of original words . I didn't mean anything, just posted very poor wording without thinking.2 points

They used to fine Clubs for fielding understrength Teams.2 points

Ben Trigger has done well to get that 8.00 average! 1 Rider Replacement 3.73 (the total of the other 6 riders divided by 6)2 Ben Morley 5.073 Ben Trigger 2.004 Anders Rowe 5.215 Dillon Ruml 5.476 Lee Complin 3.087 Connor Coles 1.56 Total Combined GSA Rolling Average: 26.12 This match should be postponed due to Plymouth fielding an understrength team2 points

Can’t say I have any sympathy for Plymouth with how they’ve basically cheated with Kennett all season. What goes around comes around as they say.2 points

You have just named 4 who don’t want to ride another is Etheridge,Cameron Heeps?.Like I said why do they not want to ride. It’s their choice though. It’s a meaningless Challenge match at Birmingham tying up possible guests. All I saying is you can’t blame Poole for wanting to put on a speedway match on their regular race night.2 points
-
It’s hardly Poles fault that Plymouth are struggling to put aTeam together, your complaining at lack of home fixtures at your Club.Poole are just wanting continuity and get the season finished. The whole fixtures issue is a farce this season, arranging fixtures around Riders foreign commitments is what is causing the trouble.Riders dictating the sport to their own benefit is the main cause .IMO.2 points

Steve… Surely, even you can see this is wrong with Zero entertainment value.. Combined GSA of 22.29 + R/R… Tantamount to standing around the edge of the playground chanting “fight, fight” as the Class bully hands out a thrashing… Any Pirate Pride in this?2 points

Totally hollow victory ,definitely not in the best interests of anyone except the Poole riders pay packets.2 points
