The comment regarding his girlfriend is not really necessary.Poor taste.IMO6 points

So Swindon are working flat out to find a new track, despite already having a perfectly serviceable track. Now they're going to be working flat out to get new track equipment, despite having just sold perfectly good track equipment. They do love a challenge.6 points

Judging by a lot of the crap that gets posted on here I would say the exact opposite.5 points

Ambition TV money Fed up with 60+ home wins Getting the best riders possible racing there Exposure for sponsors Not saying everything in the Prem garden is rosy but is it 'failing' any more than the second tier?5 points

All our own (British Speedway) doing unfortunately, and now we've made a rod for our own back. PL heat leaders seemed quite happy for years and years, maybe wth the odd guest booking in the EL. Now we're expected to bend over backwards to give them 2 teams in broadly similar leagues. Painted ourselves into a corner.5 points

More money for an inferior product during a cost of living crisis. Good luck selling that one4 points

If Hume didn’t do enough for a reserve spot again this season then that’s just the perfect illustration of everything wrong with this sport. His effort, attitude and points contributions were the only consistent noteworthy performances for the witches all season outside of Doyle. the kid made a huge stride forward this year, absolutely no reason why he can’t do it again, especially if he keeps close to the likes of Doyle and keeps listening to him. sad to see so many people on here knocking lads like Danyon Hume and Connor mountain, we lose so many lads with promise in this sport because they’re not given the support and backing. what kind of a message does it send to lads like Danyon off the back of his best career season if we all turned round and said well done last year but no one wants you now as a senior reserve3 points

There's passion and misguided passion.. shouting and swearing at opposition riders and fans is misguided imo3 points

Last time it wasn't "they", it was "he" (sorry - haven't been trained in woke-speak!), and he did it too soon, was generally shafted by the other clubs, made too many enemies, and made outrageously bogus claims about the "product". All rounded-off by a verbal assault on a referee. Hopefully this time those mistakes and pitfalls will be avoided. Buying better track equipment and sorting out the drains and lights sounds like a good start, as does signing a top rider to start.3 points

On a serious note if Harris and Brennan are at Brum and Lawson at Poole. Who the heck are Glasgow having as their other HLs?! Scott Nicholls maybe? @Jaizer might get the wish of Troy Batchelor in the end!3 points

If they announced the entire team in a oner what would we have to discuss for the rest of the month??3 points

Swindon have a new stand in storage somewhere they won't be using. Allegedly.3 points

He only had one run at Edinburgh and Berwick where he scored poorly, as far as I can see he’s moved up to #1 at the polish team he’s moved to so is clearly improving and I agree with you on the moving up from reserve but we have to try something and I’m guessing on a 5 the people at Glasgow thinks he’s worth the risk. I also understand the disappointment in the potential Chris Harris appointment but the reality is with Ben at 5 on an 8.5 who else could we get in at one under a 9 average?? choices are limited, bomber, Danny, Scott Nichols, Steve worral or Richie lawson. I’m guessing Poole will be keeping the better of the three Poole riders so that only leaves Danny, Scotty or Bomber and like it or not Bomber scored far more last season than the other two. with the removal of unlimited guarantees (as best as they can) I’m assuming the incentive to score points may be greater than it was in 2018 so hopefully he will replicate what he did for Berwick this year and pretty much every team he guested for.3 points

The Scenario we have is this... Speedway at a brand new purpose built stadium... On the same site that has showcased the sport for decades... In a well populated town where pretty much everyone will have heard of Swindon Speedway at some stage... With a great many of them knowing exactly where it is and will at some stage have visited.... And also got decent crowds which were some of the best in the country... Isn"t "viable".... Yet.. Building a completely new track "somewhere" within a 45 minute radius of this well populated town with a tradition for following Speedway in numbers, seemingly WILL be "viable"... All very "strange" isnt it? Are the dogs still going by the way? As wasnt that the issue Swindon Speedway wouldnt be viable..? If so, I presume the dogs will go with them "somewhere" within a 45 minute radius too, as they appear to be fundamental to Speedways success..3 points

Would be great to see some dad or grandad of a young rider turn up with a 2 bike Trailer or a Citroen Safari....3 points

Good signing on a 2.will achieve that.I don’t go for this “ too young “ theory just keep his head down and he will do Ok this season and Definately one for the future with the little bit of luck you need in the sport and he has the right people by his side who know the sport inside out. It was noticeable last season for the Bullets that his set-ups were always good and he was smooth and stylish.2 points

I reckon I might start selling badges and give up my job. Birmingham have gone from pleading poverty to being linked with Harris, Brennan, and Morris within months. Business must be booming!2 points

God's honest truth I wouldn't be heartbroken if Tom moved on. I know had full year at no.5 but think he stagnated a bit and looking at potential make up of team we'd need him to become a genuine 8 pointer and not sure he would be. Seemed to perform better for BV than us too which always sticks in my throat. I'll probably get slaughtered for saying that now2 points

I’d rather it was Harris or Lawson or Worrall or the man in the moon or whoever it is to replace Cookie…..just to close the door on this. It’s daein’ ma nut in……..lol2 points

Time to give them a shock then. There will always be those willing to ride. There won’t always be those willing to watch. Riders have had the sport over a barrel for some time here. The rules have allowed it to happen. It should be one club per rider in the UK. If you can’t pay the mortgage with that then get good enough to ride abroad also or get a job to supplement your hobby.2 points

And the key one based on the initial press release of not having to go up against the SGP, City or Tigers being televised on Saturday late afternoon/evening which dented attendance.2 points

King wouldn't have to worry about Heat 15 ? We very rarely get to a last heat decider these days and if we did the manager most likely would get it tactically wrong!2 points

I believe that this Team comes in at just under 39 points and is under serious consideration with no need to worry about possible Visa issues of any NEW Aussies but giving chance to line at least one up who is riding in Europe for possible inclusion during the season Steve Worrall Richard Lawson Ben Cook Zach Cook Jack Thomas Alfie Bowtell Nathan Ablitt2 points
